I doubt anyone trades their pick(top 3 teams). Most fall in love with their guy unfortunately

I wonder if OKC could use all their picks and SGA to trade for the all Top 4 picks?
SGA for 4 to start.

They sure could for #4. But they won't (unless Mobley falls). What are the odds that Suggs or Green (or Barnes!) are better than Shai?

Small trade

GSW in - Boucher + Hood (filler) + Baynes (filler) + #46
GSW out - Wiggins + #7

Raps in - Wiggins + #7
Raps out - Boucher + Hood (filler) + Baynes (filler) + #46

Why for Raps?
Get an additional draft pick in this year's draft that they can utilize for another potential prospect, despite having to take on Wiggin's horrible contract

Why for GSW?
They get out of Wiggin's contract early and get a very efficient player in Boucher who can space the floor and provide some rim protection, and a SRP

^^If I was a Warriors fan I would expect A LOT more for Wiggins and 7.

I have never before seen so many top players potentially in play this off season, when compared to years past.

Yeah unfortunately GS won't do that, that' basically highway robbery for us .

If the hypothetical Pascal deal doesn't go down, then maybe we can swing a deal for Boucher + SRP for #14 + filler if GS is desperate enough. Yet, even then I might be overvaluing Boucher, he may only net a late first at best.

Could there be a scenario where the stars align and all of the reported Raptors rumours come true?

Toronto trades Pascal Siakam to Golden State for James Wiseman, the 7th overall pick and Andrew Wiggins

Toronto then trades The 4th overall pick and the 7th overall pick for the 3rd overall pick

Toronto S&T Kyle Lowry to NOP for Lonzo Ball

Toronto drafts Evan Mobley

Ball/Flynn
VanVleet/Trent jr
Anunoby/Wiggins
Mobley/Boucher
Wiseman/Gillespie

How good is this team?

Trading the 7th pick to move up from 4 to 3 would be stupid. Would rather just take Suggs at 4 and get Bouknight or whoever at 7

Exactly. It's fair to trade a future lottery protected first to move up one slot. But if we want a big so badly, trade the 7 down and get more assets (e.g. to get both Knicks picks) and draft Kia Jones or one of the other intriguing bigs (Thor, Queta, Vrenz). Or use it to trade for Turner.

This costs us siakam to move up one spot in draft and add wiseman?

The difference in value between 3/4 is is negligible. Moble could very well be available at 4.

Pascal can fetch so much more. This is horrible value for the raps.

Rodney Hood team option has to be done in next day or 2. If exercised this may tell us something about potential moves.

its not a team option, but a non guaranteed contract, its a technicality but it does matter when it comes to trades.
decision date is July 27
baynes aug 5th
watson 6th
boucher aug 8th
yuta aug 9th
bembry 10th
freddie g opening night

all are non gurnateed contracts, non guranteed contracts are same as team option to players, so it doesnt matter to them, but to teams it gives a little more flexibility in trades, thats why the trend in last few years is to get a non guranteed year vs team option.

Question: Do we have enough cap space potentially to absorb Love’s 30m contract (along with #3) for future unprotected picks? Would CLE entertain that due to Allen and Sexton needed new contracts?

Not right now. Even in FA we only have about 17m I believe if we were to renounce Lowry.

If Lowry leaves in free agency, I wonder if the Raptors would put in a call to Nando DeColo.
Watching France play U.S. and Nando still looks like he belongs in the league and we still have his rights.

If all of Beal, Simmons, Lillard, Kyle and Demar change teams this summer, and we do nothing but draft #4 and stand pat, how big a letdown will that be?

I know we will make some kind of move beyond drafting.

As someone admittedly out of the loop now, I can't decide if Lowry's free agency is an advantage or a disadvantage for this team

It ultimately depends on the outcome:
- If we work out a Lowry S&T and get some assets back it'll be good.
- If Lowry leaves and we sign a serviceable FA/RFA that's ok too (Jarrett Allen, Richaun Holmes, Kelly Olnyk, etc.).
- If Lowry leaves and we strike out on free agents, that would suck. We only have cap space this year. It's gone after we re-sign Trent.
- Otherwise, he can re-sign with us and we can trade him down the road if need be. Kind of meh but can see this happening especially if we draft Mobley.
