If The Bulls stay bad, Lavine also will be traded. We would have to root for Butler, Durant, Harden or Irving to decide to change teams.
1) Beale was never waiting til free agency to make up his mind;
2) Bulls offer Lavine the max no matter how bad they are. He’s young and franchise FA talent doesn’t come around often in Chicago.
Despite the army of Knick fans who seem to think we’ll simply have our choice between Lavine or Beale next summer,
neither player is likely to be available.
Don't believe that with absolute conviction. These top tier players determine where they want to go, i.e. AD, Harden etc.
If Lavene says I'm not signing with anyone but the Knicks, the Bulls will have to negotiate with WWW and Rose and that's no easy task.
Even Magic Johnson has confirmed that the Knicks are in line for a superstar real soon. That's the buzz in the locker rooms, not speculation but real talk from agents etc.
Less and less players are seemingly making FA. Look at the landscape this year.... so many guys better than what's on the FA market are available right now. Lillard, Beal, Westbrook, Sexton, SGA, Pascal Siakam, Simmons, slight chance for LaVine etc.
New reality of Son ship!
