Ok I'm annoyed we weren't in on this, but maybe JV was the difference. Have to think we have something else in the works.

Not sure I like this for Memphis though? JV was huge for them last year.

I'm not sure what to think of it. It seems like New Orleans got off easy.

Edit- Just saw the second pick for Memphis. I like it more for them.

Memphis choosing to do that today instead of on draft night when they have more of an idea who will be available at #10 is a bit odd. Have to imagine they're targeting someone there (rumored to be Giddey), but why not wait til Thursday.

Also clears room for NOLA to go after Lowry.

Giddey would be a weird fit next to Ja. Neither of them shoot particularly well and like the ball in their hands.

Boy I wanted to make that trade and get 10. OKC probably trying to move up with 6 and will end up without good trades solutions :(

Love this trade for Memphis but still fine for NOLA if they can sign some players. It's sad how much Griffin paid for one year of Steven Adams.

Not sure if that means buyout or trade, so we could be involved still for Bledsoe

for what? the goal was to move up to 9-12. No reason to get Bledsoe for bad value. Don't think Memphis is in a rush.

I think our option if we dont get in the top 3 , is sacramento with the 9 pick or hawks if the trade us cam, or hunter ? Dont think orlando(8 pick) or charlotte trade down with us

That's going to be tough to move up to the 6-8 range, each of those teams have multiple picks in the top 16. Guess they're offering a future first or one of their young guys? No way we entertain trading down that far.

Yeah wish we could've gotten in on that.

But, can only assume that either 1) NOLA wanted Jonas, or 2) Presti has other plans for the cap space

yeah Presti is in love with Bouknight and there's a chance Gs picks him so not gonna happen.

Memphis could reach 7 if Gs can't find the guy they want.

So either the Pels values Jonas more or OKC has bigger plans with the draft/FA.

Because OKC could have essentially made the same deal and didn’t.

I’m very intrigued by what’s next

What could we have offered instead of Jonas ?

I highly doubt we trade down unless they plan on giving up JJ jr, which would be extremely unlikely.

They were reportedly frustrated with JJJ being injury prone last year. I don’t think they should do it but I’m one of the few that’s still a JJJ believer.

After hearing vecenie talk about kuminga, I’m less enthused about him. He’s young so I’m willing to give him a pass but the flaws are legitimate questions.

I don’t believe this for one second. But, if it’s true, I don’t know who is dumber, The Thunder for offering it or the Pistons for turning it down.

I mean I've even become accepting that as a small market they're basically a farm system and its all hopeless in terms of contending for titles, but this rumor seems....tough to buy to put it absolutely kindly.
