As I do like Mobley. Maybe do not renounce CB but instead add him to the Cavs as he's a good deal and would seem to fit their team? A protected FRP to the Cavs if needed. No way #7 if Love is coming back.
Love + 3 for CB + cap space +4 + perhaps future FRP. That work? That, or if the Cavs prefer straight cap space trade CB for capspace and a SRP. His contract seems too good to just renounce.
Then with #7 draft one of Kuminga/Segun/Giddey/Bouknight/Moody or whoever. It would be exciting if nothing else hah.
It's easy to bias trades for your own team so I'm probably overly generous to the Cavs in trying to compensate for that. I think Love can still play but he is just over being in Cleveland. I'd expect him to do a lot better with a change of scenery in a winning situation. Obviously, the team would have to really believe in Mobley to make this kind of move.

You can't have everything. If the team is really high on Mobley (and they'd have to think he's their future to do this) then they have to trade up. Let's say we re-sign Lowry, is Lowry-Suggs better than Wiggins-Love-Mobley? Or in a S&T for Simmons (even though that's probably unrealistic), we'd have Simmons-Suggs vs. Wiggins-Love-Mobley? I guess it really depends on how good you think Suggs and Mobley will be.
Love and Wiggins also expire a year before Pascal so that'll be over $60M off our cap sheet in 2023.
