The main problem in the NBA for fans of a team like the Knicks - one looking to make a major move - is that the power structure is completely in favor of the teams. They own the players, controlling them for years on end. The only way there's ever any movement is when the player decides he's had enough and forces the issue. Short of that kind of outburst, there's no reason for the owners with good players who want out to do anything at all, so the whole league just plays p*ssy.

Knicks are very likely going to end up with at least one additional 20+ pt scorer on the team.

Names we are linked to heavily linked to (and am probably missing a few): Lillard, SGA, Sexton, Lowry, Derozen, Dinwiddie, Ingraham, Lonzo.

Unlikely: Kawhi, Beal (GSW), Westbrook (LAL), CP3

Between the cap space and lots of potentially available players, I would be amazed if we didn't add a couple pretty high potential players. A championship contending team may need BOTH SGA and Lilliard to beat the likes of the NETs or one of the soon forming super teams fully healthy but we may end up with a significant upgrade at minumum.

We don’t suck at drafting we suck at development, we do not have patience for it. We give up on lottery pick after one year. It’s comedical, we don’t even send them to the g league, they ride the bench.

The combination of Dinwiddie's trash efficiency/shooting as a basketball player and his expected salary has him last on any offseason wishlist for me. Like, dead f*cking last. Like, Derozen is multiple levels above him for me, and I'm not jumping up and down to sign him either (though I can see the way signing him could work out).

I can't see any logical reason for the Knicks to sign Dinwiddie to a $18-$20M AAV on a multi year deal.

I’m sorry to beat a dead horse, we are not developing. All we are trying to do is win as many games as possible. I don’t think that the right approach. How Obi and knox didn’t play 25 mins a game is just insane to me. For what to gives minutes to bullock , burks and Noel who probably won’t be back. Wtf are we doing

This is why I mentioned Sexton, Ball and Oubre as 3 I'd like to see together. Yes I get Oubre would have to be 6th man so it's not happening. But the team would be young and interesting.

Going to the playoffs that is what we are doing for now on. A team that won 40+ games and lost in the first round is progress. To make it to the second round is always the next goal. No matter what. I don't want to play Obi 25 minutes a game to see what if like Knox 1st year. Obi played about 10 minutes. Played big playoff minutes. Few of the best alley oops of my lifetime. Obi chants and his mom tears gave me chills. Obi loves being here. Obi can get 15-20 minutes next year and everyone will be happy.
