It’s more a package result. If we don’t come away with at least one guy who I feel has good star potential, or at least a game I enjoy watching which will add to winning basketball, I won’t be as excited.

Giddey is who I hope the Magic avoid. We got plenty of pg’s that can’t shoot as is. I’d be fine with just about anyone else
You look confused...let me fill you in.

My LIST:
Scottie Barnes
James Bouknight
Jonathan Kuminga
Jalen Johnson
Kai Jones
Davion Mitchell
Ziaire Williams
Keon Johnson

So who would you take if we cant find a trade and were stuck at 5 and 8?

He probably likes 31% shooter Bouknight lol.

Bouknight is the second name on my list.

To answer the question: if Suggs falls to 5, he must be picked. Otherwise, if no trade is possible, I guess I would stretch for Moody at 5. At 8, there will be several options - beyond Moody. I could be OK with Wagner or Giddey here. At #33, why not Josh Christopher.

If the Magic come away with Moody in this draft, at either slot, I will be encouraged by the new rookie core.
Moody, Wagner and Christopher as Magicians provides the missing distance scoring this team needs.

Mildly discontent if we took Kuminga at 5.

Only really breaking my TV if we trade up for Mobley. Everything else, it’d be tough to make me upset given where we are with our picks.

Are you also OK with Moody at #5?

Davion Mitchell is the only one that would make me scratch my head.. the rest I can be talked into depending on where we acquired them.

I wouldn't mind him if we moved back but at 8? I wouldn't like it. Just not hearing his name there so I don't think we'd pick him there but who knows?

I hope we draft Kuminga and give him 25-30 mpg and just let him figure it out, the same way Edwards did last season.

Don't want to see a guy that people are already saying that his impact won't be seen in stats. I prefer someone that puts up stats.

I just wondered, because my rationale for not liking Mitchell is pretty similar to why I'm not high on Kispert either. Just not a huge fan of 4-year college guys, && especially not ones with pretty one-dimensional skillsets. Not convinced that the shooting will translate for Mitchell.

Sengun, Giddey, Kai Jones.

There's definitely some really nice qualities to all three of em, but their weaknesses are just so damn glaring.

Other than that I kinda like almost everyone in play at 5/8, heck even those 3 I wouldn't say I'm vehemently against.

Any player who shot less than 30% from three in college has no business being in Orlando....

I really don’t have that strong of an opinion but Based on What we know now (which is nothing compared to FO) and assuming he never improves. Barnes. Seems redundant to me. Unless the FO thinks he’s better than JI or Okeke right now, I don’t see the appeal. We need perimeter scorers and shooters not more lanky defenders.

In order:

1)bouknight

2)James Bouknight

3)James David Bouknight

4)James David Bouknight the sophomore guard from con UConn

5)Kai Jones lol,please

6)Kuminga (but i would still understand the pick as desperation move)

Anyway as long we avoid the first 4 i would not be too sad

Ziare Williams. Soft, not NBA ready, and not something I want with #8.

These are my exact thoughts and exact list. I'll add Duarte to the list too. Because hes 24.

I don’t want to see another super athletic perimeter player who can’t shoot. Just so tired of that.

Not interested in Barnes, not interested in Williams, not interested in Mitchell. Not crazy about Bouknight. Not interested in Kispert.

Return to Orlando Magic
