Grimes might end up the steal of the draft. Very talented but undisciplined until last season. Classic boom or bust player. I think it comes down to the environment he goes to. Christopher's another guy like that - though I think he's less likely to succeed because he needs more learning. Sims is a physical freak but I question if his skills are good enough. I have no idea about Preston and Wright.

I don't remember if we've talked about JT Thor. He's raw and will probably take a couple years to be useful, but he reminds me of Pascal Siakam when he entered the NBA. I like the explosiveness of his jumping and the suddenness of his jump shot. His stats show he has a lot that he needs to improve on, but he's just 18, will get a lot stronger, and I think has a ton of upside. Had a big game against Duke.
Sorry guys but I'm just now getting around to this part of the discussion very good stuff

Sam Vecenie of the Athletic seems to like him and sloted Rokas #29th in his NBA draft board. His summary notes are below:

29. Rokas Jokubaitis
G | Zalgiris | Birthdate: Nov. 19, 2000 (Age: 20) | 6-4 | 185 LBS | Hometown: Mazeikiai, Lithuania

Summary
Players like Jokubaitis process the game well and play with a high-skill level. They can make live dribble passes all over the court and take advantage of any mistake the defense makes. On top of that, they project as good shooters off the catch, giving them the ability to translate playing both on and off the ball. There are just a lot of outs for those guys to be successful in some regard. On top of that, at just 20 years old, the Lithuanian guard has proven he can play a critical role for a great overseas team in the second toughest league in the world. Jokubaitis likely won’t be a star in the same way as Goran Dragic because I don’t think he’s as shifty as Dragic. But he can provide similar value to late-career Dragic, who is still a valuable and knows how to run an offense and provide value next to a wide variety of players. I have Jokubaitis as a late first-round grade because a lot of contending teams are looking for guys who can dribble, pass and shoot comfortably in the same way that he can. I’m not surprised that some of the best teams outside of the NBA like Barca and CSKA are chasing him. If he can hold up defensively, he has a real chance to make some money in the NBA.
I'm sold. RJ sounds like a player

Funny you posted this. He just signed a multi year deal with Barca. So that will for sure hurt his draft stock if we buy a late second absolutely take him and see how he develops in 2-3 years and see if you can get him to come over.

Correct. Atlanta has the number 48 pick.

A TRADE like Hutchison for Chandler could include a way the Wizards get the 48, to be used as a draft and stash. Ginobili comes to mind. Millsap, Middleton, Barton and many others went mid second round.

You know how you sometimes get attached to a fringe guy in the draft? Schakel is my guy for that this year.

"Shackles on my feet..."

Bubba hotep,

He is a very intriguing prospect. He has the mid-range game kind of like Chris Paul. He comes off the curl as a scorer a lot like Jeremy Lin. He definitely passes the eye test as a basketball player if not a great athlete.

Holy ****! This player reminds me of Lou Williams and a guy that played in the 70s named Fred Brown.

Fooking Golden State got him to play on their Summer League team! If he's at all passable on defense, I could see him developing into one of those bench flamethrower guys who can come in and hit a couple quick 3s.
