Well as a fellow Belgian I’d be stoked to get him but he seems quite the project. Would be a good draft and stash guy. Hal and others here are (a bit too IMO) very high on him on this board. Hollinger had him ranked around 60 on his big board

Yes indeed. I have him number one on my board for #45.

Well I think I would be pretty cool with Green and Todd both landing in Boston.

Interesting. In a deep draft like this 53 seems like a good pick to take a flyer on someone rather than cash. Though some of the guys under consideration at 53 can be signed as UDFAs.

I'm almost excited as excited to see who goes undrafted because we could get a good player for a 2-way there too. Think half of this group Moses Wright, Hauser, Hurt, Onu, Nix, Qeeta, Sims won't hear their name called. 2-way possibility is great or if we draft a stash guy like Vrenz or Begarin, an undrafted guy really has a shot to take Semis spot on the roster. Honestly, with only the 45th pick, replacing Semi with Moses Wright is a good night for us, the fact that he's likely to go undrafted makes me think we can come out of this with 2 decent guys under team control cheaply.

Everyone here seems to love his potential. No waffling. (Sorry, Cloverleaf, too good a pun to let die.)

Heard from a pretty reliable insider that if Greg Brown (Texas) is available at #45 that he very well could be the guy for Boston.

"quite a project" may be right. But his upside is worth a pick at 45..

Boston needs to do something similar... hopefully above 45, but anywhere in rd 2 will be a talent > Waters Edwards Semi etc..

While I like players with good character. I don't want to see any "try hards" with low ceilings. Swing for the fences.. get a high ceiling prospect if possible. or at least a player with a high floor and still some height on his ceiling..

Celtics have Yam Madar and pick #45 penciled in as their new two way players. No need for the Celtics to pick up another 2nd round pick.

Maybe even 3 guys! Haha. Draft and stash Begarin/Vrenz at 45, sign Moses Wright to a minimum big league deal with team options every year. Sign an undrafted shooter type to a 2-way Livers, Hurt, Hauser, etc.

We only add one rookie to the big squad but get 2 or 3 young guys under team control to develop or at least take a look at. Then when you make the big consolidation trade, you hope at least one of the 3 guys has earned a bench role.

My point wasn't clear, but I wasn't saying we should get another 2nd, just that I wouldn't give one away like the pelicans did. My second point was that there will be many undrafted guys available with more upside than Fall, Waters, Semi, and Edwards.

As far as the 45th and Yam being 2 way players, I don't think so. Why will someone taken at 45th agree to a 2-way deal in a deep draft? I think the two main ways go to with 45 is a draft and stash that doesn't play stateside at all next year (Begarin or Vrenz) or a guy with a translatable skill that can be a role player (Kessler, Livers, Weiskamp, etc). In that case, I think the rookie is in Europe or on the big club. Even if they draft an upside US player like Onu or Todd or someone similar, I see that guy getting a big league contract but spending a lot of time in Maine.

No way Yam is coming over to play on a 2-way. He's already a professional, think the money only works if he has a guaranteed NBA contract.
