It's actually not. The last pick traded for just cash was in 2019 and it was pick #58 traded for.....$2M

New Orleans has multiple second round picks and was expected to sell at least one. Selling pre draft seems offbeat because a bit of flexibility in dealmaking has already been surrendered before the draft has even started.
