That's too much for a guy that gets so easily exposed in the playoffs.

Morey is in la-la land if he thinks someone is going to pay the price he has set for Simmons.

sounds like the knicks might be able to outpay the suns if they want

Leon is probably thinking Randle wouldn't have sucked in the playoffs if we had Paul and it could have been us in the finals instead of the Suns

i wouldn't think twice about maxing out CP3 for a last meal. he solves so many problems for the offense. from there you focus on shooters throughout the lineup like phoenix has. the team identity is already hard as hell. we'd be contending for real with this man. lowry is the next tier from there.
RIP magnumt

thanks for everything, thibs.

I hope Leon and WWW are colluding and back channeling like a muhfugga right now.

This would have implications on our draft strategy

I don’t think he makes us a contender that’s why I don’t really want Paul. We still have too many other holes in the roster IMO

Yeah, if we went after CP3 the FO wouldn't simply stop there. Other moves would be made quickly and other players might be more inclined to join him.

agreed. i think we ARE close. CP3 and another guard/wing kind of get it done for me. i don't mind RJ continuing to develop in one of the wing positions. keep randle. keep mitch (trade later if you must). but if we can sign another good scoring guard/wing with CP3 or make a trade after that signing we should be good.

i like the idea of going in on paul right now because this is the best time for us to strike with the cap space. we can't keep rolling over because of the other players that will need to eat significantly into the cap soon (randle, mitch, returning FAs/rookie scales). we sign paul and then we can retain the others over the cap.

And then we'd be right back into asinine decision making and WELL below mediocrity which coincides with being the laughing stock of the league.

Mediocrity lol... It's the CAA's fault that these corny wannabe superstars chose to go to a fake ny team?

We were the laughing stock of the league, nobody was joining us until we start winning. Which is what we did last season. Now we see if the perception changed enough and how much these guys wanna prove themselves and accept the challenge of NY.

Apologies for that word

Get Lowry for 2-3 years at a cheaper rate. Pass on Paul.

Wtf is wrong with you guys. Chris Paul has a history of injuries and is about to turn 36. And you want to pay him 3 years 100 millions. Just build slowly, build a foundation and add pieces when you can. For example cam reddish is available for a pick. We should be over that ,kid super talented

We'll take whoever we can get. Whoever wants to come we'll roll out the red carpet... Paul, Conley, Lowry

# 1 reason to say yes is ending the PG curse of this franchise. No disrespect to DRose who was wonderful last year, but Paul is a different animal altogether.

You do realize if we had filled that hole with Paul we would have beaten the Hawks. At the end of the day you can't wait for everything to fall into place. He upgrades Randle and RJ and IQ instantly, thus he is greater than his individual production. For 2 years that's enough. You can't really project beyond then anyway

Exactly. And that is likely what is their Plan A, B and C.
New reality of Son ship!
All who receive and believe in Jesus, given the right to become children of God. Not born of flesh, but born of Spirit. The Word became flesh and dwelt among us. Glory that came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

That's the reality I think. If they're going to get Paul I pretty much expect they're going to roll the dice on a second vet all-star as well. It certainly could happen now.

I think it is more that our FO may go for it. I'm pro draft and rebuild, but our lowest pick is 19 in the best draft in years and Rose and WWW were brought here to make deals. That's their calling card. They're going to do it sooner or later. I'm resigned to it happening instead of a steady rebuild. So I can support Paul not because it is what I would do, but because if they're going to do that then at least we have a better PG who will improve us short-term.
