I don't think so but the worst part about this supposed trade is easily how every other position has to be revamped to make it work. Can't even look in the direction of non-shooting bigs, Caruso and THT become a poor fit, AD has to play 5, Lebron has to be fulltime offball etc Almost everyone becomes a poor fit just a year removed from winning in those roles.

Can't wait for the Lakers to predictably fail massively only for people to say that LeBron actually underachieved for not winning a championship with a washed up horribly fitting MVP on a team with no spacing.

Might actually take (another) break from basketball if this Westbrook trade goes down. I know my blood pressure wouldn't be able to handle it.

I feel like if we read between the lines, the plan is Russ and Hield, but we cant legally do this since Dennis cant agree yet or it would be tampering

Need until Aug 2nd to discuss it with Dennis and then Aug 5th for it to happen

Sign a 3 and d wing with the small mle. Batum?

AC, Wes?, THT, Kieff?, Gasol

Sign a lob threat big maybe for Depth or certain matchups?

If they don't make a move to add two good shooters to the starting lineup this is easily a bottom 10 offensive team. What a mind numbingly stupid trade. Lebron might be the best shooter on the roster right now.

It's even more incredible to see all of the clueless casual fans on the general board whining about how unfair this trade is and this being another super team.

Yeah, Lakers have to trade Caruso, THT, Schroder via s'n't for shooters, shooters and more shooters.

That's the only scenario it can work, and we don't know if it would, because Westbrook has alltime bad scalability to play alonsgide other ballhandlers.

The positive is that Lakers are not afraid of going into deep tax in order to fight for a title.

Another big name that wont be as good b/c of poor fit and age

But will he be better than 2013 wade, probably

Russ is still really good at getting to the basket and finding guys, especially bigs

Good rebounder, which we may need if AD is at the 5

He is an ok finisher, but not great

He is an awful shooter though, low IQ, and a bad/lazy/low iq defender

I am so pissed off, but I will refrain full judgement until after a week or 2

Depends who we sign and what can we get for Dennis in a sign and trade

They aren't going to acquire any playable shooters. They'll find a couple of unplayable liabilities and call it a day like they did in 2020 with Troy Daniels and Quinn Cook. Then when they inevitably can't stay on the floor Vogel will be forced to sub in guys who don't provide enough spacing. Way to destroy the remainder of LeBron's title window Pelinka you clown. Every year it's the same sh*t with this Lakers org

How is anybody with a job in the NBA this stupid? You have two of the most dominant interior scorers ever and you fail to get them sufficient spacing 4 years in a row?

Letting Kcp go would be a big mistake IMO. His injury was a sneaky reason why La looked so bad after Ad went down. One of the best 3&d in the league

I would even move THT if we could for a young/cheap 3 and d guy

Bring back AC

He is a good enough shooter for how good is he on D and how smart he is

Sad part is without injuries and that bum Hill diving into LeBron’s legs, we could easily be looking at back-to -back titles. 2015 injuries, 2017-2018 retailed by a mega team, 2019 injures, 2021 injuries.

Hope Westbrook can at least shoot like 31% from 3 and back to 80%+ at the line. Not sure what he’ll do when James has the ball. Defense got worse, shooting got worse, depth got worse, playmaking got better.
