I like Duarte a lot and think he'll be a solid player, but his ceiling is likely role player. With how much depth we already have I think we look for more of an upside swing. If that player needs time in the G league to develop then no big deal. They would have a hard time getting minutes anyway unless we make a trade or two.

I really have no idea what we will do and who we will end up with. I could pretty easily see us moving up some, staying where we are, or trading down where as in the past I felt like you could narrow it down a bit. Outside of the top 6-7 guys it isn't unreasonable that almost any of them potentially fall to close to 17 and if we trade back there is a large group of potential guys who we could draft as well. So I have no idea who I'm hoping for and just defer to MemphisX and jman on prospects lol. (Vrenz Bleijenbergh worked out for Memphis and I liked his interview on the Locked On Draft podcast)

Calling my shot. I think we try to trade up and fail and Giddy is a smokescreen. We need a least one curve ball pick to get a wing we want but when that doesn't happen we go with the biggest upside pick left on the board.

10 - Alperen Sengun
40 - Joe Wieskamp

OR

If we are able to work a trade then it is to 7 with GS getting their future pick back.
7- Jonathan Kuminga

I think a lot of us are hoping that Orlando's love of Ziaire isn't a smokescreen ha

Also Giddy at 7 rumors give me hope. I do think GS, Orlando, and even Sac are all wild cards here and the chances are good that one of our targets falls to us without trading up.

Wieskamp at #40 is probably not going to happen, as glorious as that would be. I would target Isaiah Todd/Begarin with #40 or Weiskamp if he is there.

In terms of super late/possible undrafted flyers, I would be all over EJ Onu to give him some seasoning in the G League. You don't find a 7'8 wingspan player everyday who can shoot the 3.

I would also target Allan Dokossi, who is not getting any hype at all. He might be an overseas flyer, but if he is undrafted and decides he would like to move to the NBA, I would hire some of the best skill development talent to our staff and target this guy. His motor is unreal and at 6'8 he can handle, score attacking the rim, and defend. Great length.

Kyle Mangas should be available as a summer league flyer, and you have to understand that work ethic translates. This kid is one of the most tireless workers in the game and will probably thrive overseas, unless a shrewd NBA team takes the right chance on him. He has an incredibly high basketball IQ, makes everyone around him better, and is a culture player. Someone that is far more valuable than a McDermott for a two way look.

The rest of the guys I mentioned in this thread (Gui Santos, Sitraka, Ibou Badji withdrew from the draft). We also could get Santi Aldama late, who we could stash overseas for a few years.

I have considered this: I would be ok with Sengun at #10. He isn't the physical tools guy, but he is an otherworldly efficient basketball player.

Giddey to OKC. Kuminga, Moody, and Bouk all available still and I expect one to fall to us if we stay at 10 (thinking Franz goes before 10).

Yeah, we will get one of those 3. Hoping someone goes crazy and skips on Bouknight. I can't see Bouknight fitting in with the Warriors. It is not a culture fit at all imo.

Orlando going Franz which means one of Moody or Bouk is guaranteed to be there for us :D

I am laughing so hard. Let's get Bouknight! I wouldn't be sad with Cam Thomas I almost forgot about. One of the best pure scorers.

Bouk or Moody. Wonder who the FO is gunning for.

This is an awful, awful pick. Even if you like this guy, you could have gotten him in the mid 20's. Trade down and acquire assets.

Please please please let there be an unannounced trade and that pick was for another team.

If I wasn't the moderator I'd cuss. Sure you probably couldn't have gotten him quite at 17, but trade back a few spots and pick up an asset. Or trade into the late lottery and grab him while using 10 on Bouk/Moody. 14 from the Warriors for win-now help and take him there.

I can understand the Grizz not liking Bouknight as a culture fit. He has awful body language on the court. Moody isn't a great stylistic fit next to Ja. But, then you have an explosive scorer like Cam Thomas around. And, did the Grizz scouts not look overseas at all? Sengun is outstanding.

Isaiah Todd brings the same things as Williams (and is possibly better), and is available late 1st/early 2nd.

Williams is supposed to be a much better shooter.

Like psman said on the trade board the FO has earned some leeway so we will see how this pick turns out, but their leash of trust got a lot shorter.

Todd shot 36% in the G League with a pro line and Ziaire shot like 29% in college. And he was soft.
