I love Mitchell but this makes no sense unless there's a deal in the works.

Maybe they will have Hield catch some minutes at PF and Haliburton will play some SF.

There need to be some trades for this to make sense.

I had Suggs potentially falling and Giddey at 6. I think it was clear after the top 3 this draft had about 9 players who could go in almost any order (Obvious Barnes and Suggs towards the top).

Since the SAC-LAL trade was so close to being done, I wonder how the players handle this. I assume that if we’re hearing about it so plainly, that the players had already been told, “we’re trading you.” That can’t engender warm feelings, and I imagine the Kings will have even more incentive to trade Hield?

List of oldest top-10 picks can't be encouraging for Kings fans.

I remember people talking about Udoh and Johnson as great college impact as 'newcomers' comparing them to freshman when they were senior aged guys transferring in.

Mitchell wasn't a reach. I thought it was likely he went at minimum 14, 11 to Charlotte was a great fit so #9 aint bad.

I have Barnes a surprise to a team with two forwards in place and a PG about to leave, I like Wagner but he would not have been my pick for Orlando at #8, and the Kings take another guard?

All of those are unexpected to me. Although to be fair it's early and these guys may not end the night there either.

I’m kind of surprised we haven’t heard the “We have a trade to announce!” line recently.

You would think with a couple of these guys dropping, somebody would want to trade up.

He shouldn't have been a lotto pick IMO, and I'm not a fan of his. But we obviously all have different opinions on these kids.
