Its pretty simple for me, if he's here its because Lebron wants him hear. Thats all I need to know. Also, Pelinka has something else up his sleeve. Lakers star power is crazy!

I'm going to wait to freak out until I see what the roster looks like. If we come out of this with Buddy Hield as well.. dream scenario. But.. yeah. If our roster truly is Westbrook/Caruso/Wes/LeBron/AD with THT and some vets off the bench.. I'm going to be absolutely pissed.

Westbrook led the league in assists 3 of the last 4 season and has been at the top of the list most of the last decade... Like I said in the GB, why does he have to be our shooter? Takes the ball out of LeBron's hands more which makes our offense less stagnant, like when we had Rondo... AD shoots 3s, THT can shoot, defend and attack, if we keep Schroder, he can be more of a pure shooter, Lebron won't have to attack as much and can take it easier on the outside, which makes it easier for him to keep his 3pt% up...

Or flip Schroder and THT for someone else... It's still a major upgrade over a bunch of inconsistent bodies that contributed little to our wins... the mvp of that trade from our side is probably KCP.

You think THT will be placed in the starters role? not sure if he ready? I like him, but maybe not ready yet?

Schroder won't be Laker next season 100% sure on that.

I love how people are complaining about Montrezl Harrell who could've left us high and dry and clearly wanted to leave LA, Kyle Kuzma the inconsistent player that never proved himself when he had the opportunities, KCP who was pretty much trash all year and very inconsistent and his defense is overrated by a lot of people here, and finally the 22nd pick who isn't going to get much playing time and isn't a guaranteed "star" player and probably will never be a star player. For a guy that went to the Finals, and has playoff experience being the number 1 option. If we kept the pick, we probably would of said goodbye to Caruso and THT.

I mean the options are slim and we all knew going into this teams won't be willing to help us out. I mean call Pelinka whatever you want, but he isn't wrong doing this trade.

P.S. LeBron and Westbrook's contracts align, meaning the Lakers could be sitting pretty going into the offseason once LBJ and Westbrook are off the books and AD is still under contract.

I'm not a Westbrook fan but I'll reserve my judgment until I see who else we are getting to complete the roster for this season. The only upside I can think of this time is that Russ is not injury prone like LeBron and AD. He could win us some regular season games without LBJ and AD. The Lakers better get 2 legit shooters to play alongside these 3 though.

I’m ambivalent about this trade although I’ve always liked Russ’s heart and passion to win. We gave up a lot of role players to get a superstar on the downside of his career. It is stunning to me how his outside shooting has worsened over the last 2-3 years.
THT will get a lot more minutes as will Caruso unless they’re traded for shooters.

What Russ has that few people talk about is a Mamba mentality. He is a fighter and as long as he keeps his head in the game, he will help us be a contender.

Yes, I agree that LBJ and AD become the perimeter shooters with Westbrook owning the paint, which WILL help their health during 82 game grind.

My serious disappointment is on the defensive end. The defense we gave up in KK, KCP, MH is a lot, and we got no defense in return. Absolutely none.

Pelinka better have a defensive bulldog plan in his back pocket. Start with Howard at C!

Agreed i don't see why Schroder would even think of staying with point guard being filled up with Lebron and Russ.

Patty Mills or McDermott?
Sign and Trade Schroder to the Bulls for Markkanen? Or they include a 3rd team to get a shooter?

I’m worried about defense and shooting but don’t think we have up much defense by losing KK and MH.

Anyone else excited as I am for Marc Gasol because of the Westbrook addition?

Another upside I see is we can let go of Dennis now. Someone can take the PG starting spot.

Oh I know 3pt shooting is important, but who needs to jack em up when the ball is in the hands of the two best creators of this generation?

Defense, Pelinka! Defense. We NEED very good defender role players if this is going to work.

Gasol will be off the bench so not sure how much time he'll get playing with Russ? But we'll see. And not sure if he even stays, let's hope so

In today's game the only person I'd want less in a Laker uniform is Chris Paul.... and it's nearly a toss up.

Swing for the fence move with another aging guy who's fading. Makes a hard to watch team even harder to watch.
