You do realize if we had filled that hole with Paul we would have beaten the Hawks. At the end of the day you can't wait for everything to fall into place. He upgrades Randle and RJ and IQ instantly, thus he is greater than his individual production. For 2 years that's enough. You can't really project beyond then anyway
We do not beat the hawks that is false narrative. We overachieved with one year vets and took advantage of the regular season. I don’t believe that same team will finish top 6 Hawks, phili, bucks, nets , bulls and maybe Boston is better. The hawks didn’t just bears us they destroyed us and exposed us for what we really are. Which is over achieving defensive team. We need to built gradually and don’t rush it. Hell no to Chris Paul, Lowry or Derozan

This front office has been nothing short of solid and has placed us (Knicks) 1 year ahead of schedule. Why not take advantage of the progress and shoot for the second round or more.
IMO, we need shooters, hopefully Reggie comes back in an off the bench capacity/starter fill-in, a backup center and point.
Ross would be solid, TJ Warren solid, a few other vets would be great. The Bucks without Bobby Portis' contributions probably would have had a different outcome.
Also, to be honest Duarte would not be a bad pick, becuase he can shoot the fkn rock and he's a dam tough. New York will love his grit.
Ross is 30 and only has 1 yr left on his deal. maybe I'd trade Knox + a couple 2nds, but definitely wouldn't part w/ a 1st for him. doesn't fit the timeline of this team
