I always laugh when people bring up the Kobe draft night trade and act like Jerry West was some sort of genius.

Kobe's agent made it pretty clear before the draft that Kobe wasn't going to play for anyone other than the Lakers, that's why he went #13 and got traded to the Lakers.

Everyone knew how good Kobe was and was going to be, his HS games were shown on ESPN.

Why are going cheap ? I mean there is a positive side having bigger contracts... they could be the salary missing from a trade. Completely trash Org that is lucky to have a Basketball living God in their roster... Hope there is a trade or something behind it but I dought it.

Welp what I have said about Kobe since day 1 was just confirmed by the Nets former front office dude on ESPN.

He said Kobe threatened to play in Italy if he didn't end up in LA.

I mean, there’s undoubtedly going to be someone that’s considered a good prospect available at 31. It’s just not very likely that we would pick them.
