Probably some late firsts. They have a few Brooklyn and Milwaukee picks that are guaranteed to be in the 20s.

Two Brooklyn picks I assume? Even then that’s steep .

Pretty solid haul for OKC though Sengun could be worth it. Don't love the fit with Wood though so feel good about saying OKC wins both now and in a few years when we look back.

Details on those picks:

DET's pick: protected 1-16 in 2022, 1-18 in 2023, 1-18 in 2024, 1-15 in 2025, 1-11 in 2026, 1-9 in 2027, otherwise 2027 2nd
WAS's pick: protected 1-14 in 2023, 1-12 in 2024, 1-10 in 2025, 1-8 in 2026, otherwise 2026 and 2027 2nds

All this assumes Houston hasn't protected them further.

OKC keeps building that stack of draft picks. Good pick for the Rockets Sengun, I can hear the announcers now Shen-Gooon!

Not to me, those picks are well protected. Sengun should have stayed in OKC. Sengun might not amount to anything but I got this a win for the Rockets.

Exactly, which is why I hate this trade.

Not exactly

I think theres a very real possibility that the Wizard pick never converts (lotto protected) (Edit maybe the protections make it likely to convert after looking at the post above)

The DET pick probably convert but not any time soon. Top 18/16 protected for the next 3 or so years, then lotto protected, then it drops to high lotto protection. It’s like 8 years of protections or something crazy, there’s a chance Pistons drop protections at some point to open up trading future picks

I had Sengun #5 on my board so personally I’m yoked

I will say I too am a bit surprised OKC didn't just take Sengun. Guess they didn't see enough they liked in him.

seems like an average to bad trade for the Thunder, the Pistons first is not worth much at all

Probably won't fulfill till 25 on the Det pick and 24 or 25 won the Wiz pick unless something crazy happens.

Honestly I liked a few guys on the board but am more glad they didn't take Sengun. Don't mind it at all for OKC based on that part alone.

Guess they didn't want to bring in 5-6 rookies too.
