Great trade to get depth and clear cap. Now flip Trez and Kuzma for another pick or young player. KCP will be a great fit with his defense and shooting

I like KCP, could be handy as a bench guy. Don't like Montrezl at all. All these guys are definitely still moveable though, hopefully there's some more deals being nutted out

What’s wrong with Harrell? He was a beast with the Clips.

He's a no defense, high motor guy with 0 shooting ability. Basically Manimal 2.0. A good player to have on a great team, but I don't see how he fits here. Bryant and Gaff are the way.

Well, in fairness, we took Mike Pence off their hands. Taking back Mahinmi is the least they can do.

Imagine you take Etan Thomas and you give him Pat Beverly's personality, that's Harrell.

He's not a range jump shooter, but he does have a very good touch around the basket and can make short jumpers. Really good ferocious inside scorer and energy offensive rebounder. But yeah, defense is a problem. Also might have some mental health issues based on some tweets he made last season that looked like cries for help - hopefully he's resolved them and is happy. I expect he'll be traded. Problem is that playoff teams might shy away because his defense can be exploited by better teams in the playoffs.

He is a regular season guy. He gets played off the floor in the playoffs because he isn't a rim protector on D, and teams just don't guard him outside of 12 feet on offense.

He'll be useful if we retain him, but clearly, our priority must be to obtain a PG. And it looks like Harrell will be part of the outgoing package to get one.

For the record, I think this was a great trade. I'm not convinced Westbrook really helped us on the court (though he may have in the locker room). And I'm sure Westbrook's presence was detrimental to guys like Avdija, Troy Brown, Bertans and Hachimura. I'm disappointed that we squandered the #22 pick though.

He played very well after a very poor start, but he did slow the development of young players, and even getting that 8th seed was detrimental to the future of the team - resulting in the 15th pick and eliminating the chance for a top 4 pick. And that's not his fault. It was a matter of questionable or nonexisting planning.

Just noticed that we also included 2 of those pesky 2nd round picks

Yep. He's an empty stat guy on this team who would only take time away from younger players we need to develop.

Kuzma is a boom or bust trade pickup. He either pans out to be an above average player or a dud. LeTravel picked Kuzma to make the biggest jump (when he was a Laker) this upcoming season. I don’t know if that was the kiss of death or what.
Turning 2 picks in the 31-60 range into 1 pick in the 1-30 range is good.
Harrell gives a good physical presence which we didn’t have on the team.

Lol, I wonder what Lebron's response is going to be. This should be fun.

I mean, if we want to make poor decisions...then by all means.
Kuzma is better, younger, more versatile, and on a better contract.
