not bad for an 18 yr old..we'll stash him for 2 more yrs in france..imagine how how good he'll be in 2 yrs.
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

you were expecting different??

I’d have taken Bassey, but didn’t have any expectations and am glad they didn’t take Cooper.

I am also glad that the play they picked doesn’t seem to be undersized.

Maybe following on the “success” of Yam Madar, “draft and stash” will be our franchise’s new version of “draft undersized!”?

I swear that is who I thought they were taking..

I don't get it... How can you have Cooper and Boston right there and go with this kid?

Me too. To be clear, Cooper was not my guy I was just convinced the Celtics were after him. Glad I was wrong

Stash or not, it's nice to see the C's looking oversees and finding talent (like the Spurs).

If Yam pans out this year, Juhann will be fine as a stash for a year. That's amazing that you had him at 5 -- hope he's the steal of the draft, of course.

Don't hate the pick. He had nice physical tools. 6'5/6'6, 7 foot wingspan, 8'9 standing reach. Athletic. Not a shooter right now, but the shot isnt broken the way langford's was/is. Wont even turn 19 for about week, so he's a nice stash option for potentially more than a year and seems like an upside play in the event that Langford or Nesmith get traded, I never complain about upside picks even if I would have preferred a larger wing.

Juhann Begarin has outstanding physical tools, standing 6-foot-6 with a shredded 214-pound frame and a near 7-foot wingspan despite not turning 19 until August. His offensive game is a work in progress, particularly his ball-handling and shot-creation ability, while his jumper is prone to streakiness. When engaged, Begarin can be an outstanding defender, capable of slowing down guards and wings alike, although his intensity level fluctuates and he can still be somewhat naive off the ball.

Few players in his draft range share his upside, as he likely would have entered this upcoming season as a projected top-20 pick had he elected to withdraw his name from the draft at the deadline. Instead, Begarin intends to come to the NBA immediately and work his way up through the G League, unless the Celtics can convince him to reconsider that after summer league. --Jonathan Givony

Herb Jones is more like a 6'7 SF that can't shoot. Love his defense though.

7'0" wingspan, pretty good rebounder, decent interior defender, solid vertical leap, can block some shots so could play some 4 as well..he's a combo forward who has even played some PG, both in youth ranks and at Alabama..really good passer

6'7, 210. Maybe a combo forward in college but that's too small for a PF in the NBA.

Not sure why some people wanted Boston Jr. There is a reason he slipped so far down. Him and Scottie Lewis are not great character guys and probably did terrible in their interview process. Both were down here in LA for basketball events, but were late to scheduled appointments.

Like Perk even said on ESPN draft, you can get talent everywhere, but it's all about mindset.
