By the way Rachel Nichols, Perkins, RJ are straight trash for draft coverage.

They tipped EVERY pick. I muted until Silver rolled up to the mic each time, was much better

Little disappointed by our picks and hope there is another (trade) shoe to drop.

@ 7 looks like it's between Kuminga vs. Bouk, if Kuminga drops he's the pick, if not it's most likely Bouk with Wagner/Giddey outside chance.
damn...nailed it.

Suggs! How do you feel about him? I think he's the main guy you guys have been missing. Fun young team over there.
Solid pick up w/ Wagner too, this him and Isaac can hold down the 3/4 together.

Thanks! I'm excited, we needed a guy like him. Interested to see what his ceiling can be, seems uber competitive but I think both him and Wagner have pretty high floors. As far as being stars, we'll see. But yeah, a fun mix of guards... a bit of a logjam there but Fultz is coming off ACL stuff and I think Cole works best off the bench. Wagner/Isaac/Chuma will be fun to watch defensively too.

I’m excited for the Magic! I was at a sports bar here in Seattle and happened to be a table of Magic fans next to me. They were livid for getting Suggs and wanted Bouk or Kuminga at 8.
Cole Anthony, Jalen Suggs, RJ Hampton, Wagner is a solid young group. Some will work out some won’t, but they’re all talented

Myers made it pretty clear there are no trades being looked at or for.

Re: 2021 Draft Thread
on paper it wouldn't even be a bad draft, rather on the contrary.
at 7 you don't go with the safe pick but you go for a swing, especially if there is still available a prospect like kuminga which was projected to be in the top 5. if you are right, you hit a home run.
they gambled on moody hoping it was still available at 14 and the gamble paid off.
this in vitro, then you pass from theory to practice and start to wonder what does an 18 year old (very raw ) like kuminga has to do with our core timeline? what adding 2 rookies, after wiseman last year, have to do with any win-now mode?
look at the current bench and find poole (a third year but de facto it's like a second year), wiseman (sophomore), 2 rookies, mannion (another sophomore), paschall and JTA that until the day before yesterday was a two-way .... neither we were the magic.
so I dunno, draft-wise nothing to say, both picks legit choices. FA starts in a few days and anything can happen, maybe they'll get to sign a couple of good veterans this time around.
don't expect any major trade, the real trade will likely happen next offseason when wiggins' 34M expiring contract from net negative will become attractive for several team in rebuilding mode and when, perhaps, there will be someone that really makes sense to trade for.

Re: 2021 Draft Thread
I know the fans want the Warriors to be in all-in win now mode. But:
1. The blockbuster trades out there this year just didn't measure up on value return.
2. The mid-grade trades out there just didn't measure up on value return.
3. The win-now players available at #7 were not good enough to warrant passing on the potential of Kuminga.
I really can't fault anything the Warriors have done this off-season yet.

I'll tell you Kuminga better show some potential by the end of the season.
Can't be another Wiseman rookie season.
They need to put a shooting coach with him NOW, have him shoot 1000 jumpers a day.

Luckily I do think 13 games in G-league is better than college IMO. He’s had 13 games of NBA pace, 3point line and speed.

Re: 2021 Draft Thread
Never looked into him pre draft but the Turkish center seems nice. Double double potential with being a tough rebounder. Just started hearing podcasts loving him.
I still think it’s important to have a two headed monster at Center position and I’m talking about someone other than Looney. A Wiseman/Sengun duo or Something would be nice for future.

Rockets building quite the front court now. Christian Wood, Alperen Sengun, and Usman Garuba is a solid Center corps.

Re: 2021 Draft Thread
I found it interesting that at the press conference Bob was hesitant about saying whether they're going to play in summer league cause they might not be in good enough shape. (???) Is he foreshadowing that we're holding one of them out because he's gonna get traded somewhere?
