SO, that's four pure PGs, six PG/SGs, seven SGs, six SG/SFs, five SFs, one SF/PF, one PF, three PF/Cs, two Cs.

Quantity does not necessarily indicate interest; for example, we spent extra time with Kai Jones who falls into the PF/C category. But it is interesting that the lot of guards we connected with were 1. two-way players 2. shot the 3 very well and 3. had a high FT rate per FGA.

We connected with five players hovering around our #12 pick: Kai Jones (who we interviewed early and worked out and dined late); Keon Johnson (again, earlier interview, later workout); Corey Kispert; Moses Moody (we met at Combine, spoke to his agent); Alperen Sengun (we worked him out on July 19).

IF we trade down, there were some projected options later in the first round that we met: Murphy, Ziaire, Keon Johnson, Tre Mann, Jaden Springer, Isaiah Jackson, maybe Davion Mitchell.

SO, I *THINK* my favourites align with those of the Spurs:

If we stay at #12 - Kai / Moody / Sengun / Giddey? (we didn't connect with him)

If we trade back - Murphy, Ziaire

#41* - Vrenz, Wieskamp, Boston (we didn't connect with him), maybe Huff, though he's a reach at that spot, maybe can be a camp invite if he's undrafted

Undrafted invitations - Yves Pons, Jericho Sims so far...

* I have never EVER guessed a second round selection correctly

It's only ok to quote yourself for mockery, and WOW did I miss the mark on that take!


That's what you get for pitting fandom's one month's 10-minute per prospect probe with an entire scouting department's full time work.
