Todd is not playing this year - and probably not next, very, very raw (my opinion).

Dare I ask, what about Kemba? He's only got 2 years left.

The NBA is such a challenging league. Players want money and situations that maximize their skills and a chance to win a championship. Getting all of that is hard. But what ends up happening is that need attracts need. If I'm Ben Simmons or I'm part of his camp, I am pushing hard for a trade to DC. With the shooting we've added, it's clearly the best situation for him. I'm not willing to be strip mined - as Darryl Morey put it - to get him, but that could work here.

Could he be had for dumping bertans and Kuz on them? Maybe , but is he washed. . . . Like is he just done. Idk he might play Garbo minute in OKC and re up his value like CP3 .

Yeah, you are right. Kemba would be a poor fit here. He's a horrific defender who gets exposed and targeted in the playoffs for that reason. I'd rather go after a vet stopgap PG (like Rondo) in FA if all other options fail.

Posted this on the trade board, but I'd trade Kuzma for Kennard if possible. Kennard gives us a backcourt pick & roll creator. Kuzma isn't needed with Deni, Rui, Bertans, KCP, and Kispert on the roster.

Kuzma and Kennard have roughly identical contracts.

Right now, its:
PG: Holliday/
SG: Beal/Kispert
SF: KCP/Deni/Kuzma
PF: Rui/Deni/Bertans
C: Gafford/Harrell/Bryant

We need to consolidate the wings obviously.

I like KCP more than most but hell no to him starting over Deni. Besides, wasn’t it reported that Wes during interviews was talking about utilising Deni’s skill set more next season?

My lineup at this point:

Beal/KCP/Kuzma/Rui/Gafford

Holliday/Kispert/Deni/Bertans/Bryant

We get out of either contract (Bledsoe has 4 million guaranteed next year) and get a vet stopgap at PG.

Nah... they won't want the long contract.

G Caldwell-Pope, A. Holiday
G Beal, (Mathews)
F Avdija, Kispert, Hutchison
F Hachimura, Bertans, Kuzma, Todd
C Gafford, Harrell, Bryant

Avdija is your point forward. Caldwell-Pope can defend PGs.

I can dig it. I'd like to see Bryant with that lineup to add shooting, in case Gafford's off-season investment in his J hasn't quite matured.

Deni has to take another leap with his handle, though.
Always remember, my friend: the world will change again. And you may have to come back through everywhere you've been.

Deni needs more playmaking opportunities. If he comes off the bench he'll get those with Kispert, Bertans, Matthews spacing out, Bryant on the pick n pop/pick n roll.

They could simply bring back Neto with a smaller exception and have a starting caliber PG. Deni can have an increased usage and playmaking role.

Neto Holiday
Beal KCP
Avdija Kispert
Hachimura Bertans
Gafford Harrell

It’s not a contender, buts it’s a solid 45 win middle seed playoff team that is enjoyable to watch.

I think one important meaning of this trade is letting Avdija move to positions 1-2 so he'll get these opportunities to playmake the game. I guess Unseld Jr. believes in his abilities and is very involved in this trade. Even if Washington will bring another Guard, this amount of Forwards is very weird and intriguing. Still it's too soon to be sure of that, I think we gonna see another changes in the roster.

They should definitely resign Neto. He played very well for us last year

I don't understand Beal, he is ok with the Westbrook trade and he isn't part of any contending Big-3, or Big-2

I think we now have the same problem that the Lakers had.
there isn't much of a market for Kyle Kuzma ...

On the bright side, we are virtually guaranteed a lottery pick next year.
