So. Sounds like Memphis really liked him and gave him a promise to draft him so he shut it down super early. Like months ago early. And then tonight there was chatter that OKC was thinking of taking him with 34 or 36 so Memphis felt they had to jump them in order to secure their guy.

I wouldn't mind buying a late 2nd here soon and taking a flyer on BJ Boston. Put him on Sean's two-way contract and see if he can figure it out. If not then no big deal we just cut him and wish him well.

In theory we could get two guys for two-way deals. Sign Tillie to a contract like we did Jontay (guaranteed for this year and then partial guarantee) and waive Sean.

We got Romeo Weems, who arguably to me is the worst high major prospect to declare for the NBA draft. Had no business entering this draft class after his year with Depaul.

Also added Yves Pons, who is an excellent defender - much better option here. Like his game and believe he can defend at an NBA level immediately. Underrated player.

Luckily this is just an Exhibit 10 contract so he'll be playing with the Hustle in Southaven.

And Pons is either a contract or two way deal so he'll actually be with the team in some capacity this season.

As an update, just read what Vrenz said on twitter. He needed a 2nd round pick to come over because he cannot get out of his contract on a two way deal apparently. So he is devastated he won't be able to come over next year I don't think.

Exactly, it is more annoying that we will have to wait another year to see him compete. Tough draft for internationals.
