Interesting a whole lot of words that really at the end of the day say nothing  BUUUTTTT Zach is pretty credible. He wouldn't throw something like this out there if there isn't something somewhat big in the works :o

I'm kinda terrified of what that could be not going to lie...

with cp3 likely staying, it does seem like the obvious play for them. whether they actually pull it off or not is another story.

I mean it would be an interesting team (terrible spacing), and immediately the question would be which star would want to join? Assuming it would be RJ/Mitch for Dame or Beale.

Mitch/FA
Randle/FA
RJ/Bullock
DeRozen/IQ/Grimes
Lowry/Rose

If we got the 4 seed with Elf, that squad could be as high as a 2 or 3 seed. Of course going nowhere in the Playoffs, but hey… “change the culture.”

ii definitely would be the precursor to hoping a bigger name would join. they might think they need to do something like this to have those big names interested. and they might be right about that.

Derozan and Lowry only make sense if the plan is to kick the cap back to 2023 which will be a lot more difficult and I can’t see this team deciding to not going all in for a Max 2022 FA.

To be fair after this draft I am not even sure the Raptors let Lowry walk. Not taking Suggs at 4 was a statement a lot of people didn’t recognize. Aaron Rodger’s wish he had a GM like Masai on GB

More likely scenarios bringing back a duo combination of Burks, Bullock, Noel, and Rose Longterm.

Another one is to add Lonzo or Duncan Robinson long term with the belief they will hit their upside.

Some out the box thinking include maybe the Rockets deciding to trade OG Anuonby. They have to pay Grant Jr and just potentially drafted a better cheaper version of him at #4. Also, they seemed very hesitant to extend OG and might be willing to move him. I don’t think the club has given up on Psiakim at all and his upside is still more than OG’s.

There are probably a couple more guys around the league the Knicks could trade for relatively cheaply too.

Who knows what Lowry will do? He might as well stay. But I think the Knicks are pretty set on spending big this summer if they can. Whether we will succeed or not is a different story

How many years though? Lowry for 3 would be too much.

It’s kinda of odd that the Knicks aren’t really mentioned in the main suitors for Lowry in recent reports tho no? I don’t know if he’s high on their priority list

People assuming we going hard for Lowry/DeRozan combo but I think the Knicks eyeing something else.

maybe he really wants to play with DeRozan and we are the only team that can afford them both and give them a chance to win. So they each take a a little less to play together?

Hmm, this could be a S&T to NYK.

they would already take less though because they would have to split 50 something. doubt you can get them to also bypass the 3rd year.

Knicks fans are constantly used as easy click bait for the media. If they had something they would report it as fast AF before somebody else gets it. Im not saying we dont do anything, but I am saying Knicks fans are so desperate they cling to every little nugget of info they can spurn into a pipe dream.

Generally I agree, but Lowe might be sitting on the info a bit since he got fed the news, so to be able to get scoops in the future, he sits on it for 2 days, since Monday all this stuff is going to kick off.

He gets to say he "kind of reported it first" but still get info in the future.

He could also just be making sh*t up, since Knicks have over 50 million to offer.

Also, it could be someone on the Knicks said "we'll be aggressive pursuing RFA and UFA's and trades and then he spun this. Actually, probably this.
