Hammond on the radio said Frantz was the pick at 8 regardless who they picked at 5. They absolutely love him.

If Jeff says it, i shrug it off as fluff. When John says it, i truly believe it.

For those on height watch, isn’t coach Mo 6’8”?

If he is Franz is a legit 6’11” easily, if not 7’.

Isn't Coach Mo 6'6?

Wikipedia says 2.03m (6’7.9”)

just for fun, here is a draft pic of everyone taking a group photo, if you're curious about everyones height. Cade is measured at 6' 8" def looks atleast 2 inches shorter then Franz. Mosley looking like a beast

The thing that stands out to me most in this picture is Kuminga's height. He doesn't look anywhere close to 6'8. He looks shorter than Jalen Green.

Not sure about 6'11 but picture evidence suggests a very strong 6'9/weak 6'10 at least.

Is there any concern at all at Wagner being/getting too tall to effectively hold up defensively against smaller players?

Yes, we have his Bird Rights and we need to bring him back. He's ballin' in the Olympics.

I agree...he's a nice deep bench C/4, with some still to see upside. I like the brother thing but I definitely noticed how Franz answered the question about Mo being his teammate...immediately said something to the effect of "he's a free agent", didn't even really sugarcoat the softball question about playing together. We do need a 3rd Center and I like how Mo's play contrasts the other two.

Plus he's smart. He knows the injury history of wcj/mo/JI If there was any team in the league where a 3rd string PF/C could realistically have big PT it is us.

If he has the footspeed then nope. I saw GA switch effectively to all but the fastest of PG. Besides ideally, we would ask him to switch anywhere from the 2-4 and unless the 5 is Embbid/Joker/Vuc type of bruiser, then that position as well.

Good player, I don't think I would have made the same choice but I could see him as a potential game changer. Every team needs a Franz Wagner.

It didn't sound like it from his interview. I was hoping someone would ask him about it. He didn't seem to know who was going to take him. It was probably just a rumor based on his decision to withdraw from the combine, but his management team probably had a good idea of his range before he made that decision.

Oh no I don't mean a lack of strength.

I'm wondering if Wagner is going to physically just get too tall (and presumably slow down as he gains weight) of being able to defend SGs and SFs?

Not an easy task for a 6'11" player who weighs 225-230+ to chase guys way smaller and quicker.

As many germans you have around the better. i'm negotiating a contract to relocate to Germany so maybe we will be able to see a Magic match sometime in the near future.

Ich spreche ein bisschen Deutsch.
Tschüss!
