Man, its easy... FO is angling to getting into a bidding war for the guy they are focused on. They should have a couple of plans and contingencies. Maybe offer a max to a RFA, and have enough to split on some other Veterans. I think we can all forget the dream now of taking any step backwards, so tanking is out of the question. I think they're going to have revolving doors at some positions until they can solidify where they're going. I think the only person the FO is angling towards building around is Randall, and even then they have an out if it doesn't pan out. We're straddling boys, and riding this playoff run as long as we can until we have to actually commit. With the way they avoided paying the players at those picks, I would imagine they have a backdoor agreement in place already.

Dont sleep pn him, he could help us quite a bit. Help Mitch, RJ and OBI. Also would take some pressure of off Julius.

I dont get it. why RFAs? the only one rumored that we can poach is Lonzo Ball, Gary Trent Jr, and John Collins?

Collins is no way better than '21 Randle.

which... I dont understand

the only UFAs guy who we might be able to poison pill is Norm Powell and Fournier as bos/por are near the cap.

So, maybe he knows that, broadly, Knicks are going to make offers to RFA's, and possibly strong offers.

He may not know which ones. Or he might.

Sporting news had this list of the "best" RFA and UFA:
https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nba/news/nba-free-agents-2021-top-players-free-agency-start-salary-cap/1f2ruunc3ca9j1u5bxifwl4kti

1. Kawhi Leonard Clippers Player option
2. Chris Paul Suns Player option
3. Kyle Lowry Raptors Unrestricted
4. John Collins Hawks Restricted
5. Mike Conley Jazz Unrestricted
6. DeMar DeRozan Spurs Unrestricted
7. Lonzo Ball Pelicans Restricted
8. Jarrett Allen Cavaliers Restricted
9. Dennis Schroder Lakers Unrestricted
10. Duncan Robinson Heat Restricted

Restricted: Collins, Ball, Allen, Duncan Robinson.

I'll look for a list with some of the others

I would offer John Collins the max just to f::Ck with Atlanta.

Lol that would hurt us more than them. They could’ve just drafted his replacement last night if they really wanted to move on from him. We’d be stuck with Collins and Randle.. two terrible rim protectors

We could let Randle walk at the end of the year or trade him if Atlanta doesn’t match, but I don’t see them letting Collins go.
