Ediit my signature, I'm not sold on THT being a starter just yet hope like others have improved his shooting.

Lakers are wanting AD at the C and Bron at the PF

They're now targeting Anthony and R.Gay

really hope we can get Howard or Mcgee back??? Never thought I'd say that with Howard, but he would help (not a fan)

Westbrook/Caruso
Hield/THT
LeBron/Matthews
AD/Gay
Gasol/Howard

I think we figure out a way to complete a Schroeder S&T for Hield and Schroeder is routed somewhere else. Another guy we could maybe get at SG is Jeremy Lamb, I could see the Pacers having some interest in Schroeder. I don’t think Melo happens, LeBron has had every opportunity to play with him over the years and hasn’t taken it. Gay is better and they fill the same roll. If Melo wants to take a vet min and play behind AD, LeBron and Gay at the 4 then fine.

Howard would be 2nd behind Markieff in that lineup wouldn't he?

Also if we get Hield Lakers winning chip 100% it's about 70% now lol

These are both really close to what I’d expect, but I think the team may look at Otto Porter over Howard or Gasol (don’t think we need both). Overall a nice looking squad. I still worry about THT finding a role on this team though. Feels like it could be another Kuzma-type situation where he struggled a little to mesh with Lebron and AD. If you can’t get Otto Porter, then I like the idea of trying to flip THT for another floor spacing wing and bringing in another veteran guard in FA.
Numbers rule the universe.

Melo wasn’t an option last year. He said before last free agency that because of Portland giving him a chance when others didn’t midseason and he was just returning there. He didn’t pout about coming off the bench or anything at all, just did his role and was well liked and respected. I think he’s in a whole different head space, and I also think Lebrun is as well after a first round exit.

I truly think that us passing on Anthony and him ending up in Portland did him some good!
Good for his mind, play, and approach.
I think his year up their was a win for him.
Feel he is ready to accept a role with us.

What I want:

PG: Westbrook/THT/George Hill
SG: Hield/Caruso/
SF: Otto Porter/Wes Matthews/
PF: LeBron/Melo/Markieff/Dudley
C: Davis/Howard/Gasol

If the Hield thing is COMPLETELY off the table and I had to make the best out of that, it would be:

PG: Westbrook/THT/Satoransky
SG: Matthews/Caruso/
SF: Otto Porter/Thad Young/
PF: LeBron/Melo/Markieff/Dudley
C: Davis/Howard/Gasol

What I expect:

PG: Westbrook/THT/Bradley
SG: Matthews/Caruso/Ben McLemore
SF: LeBron/Rudy Gay/
PF: Davis/Melo/Dudley
C: Gasol/Kanter/Markieff

Am I missing something? How do you guys plan to get Hield? Are you guys gunning for the highest payroll in the league?

S&T with Schröeder and trade for Hield. Tristan Thompson may come to Lakers in that deal since he’s in Sac now.

for all y'all putting LeBron at 3 and AD at 4... please read this

https://www.latimes.com/sports/lakers/story/2021-07-29/lakers-acquire-russell-westbrook-wizards-trade-deal

About two weeks ago, Russell Westbrook went to LeBron James’ home and together they and Anthony Davis had a conversation about the All-Star guard joining James and Davis on the Lakers.

They talked about putting their egos aside and playing as one in their quest to bring the Lakers another NBA championship. Westbrook talked about how his only intention was winning and coming back home to Los Angeles to become a champion.

James and Davis talked about the two of them changing positions if that was best for the team — James moving from small forward to power forward and Davis from power forward to center.

Westbrook let James and Davis know he doesn’t mind playing off the ball when James initiates the offense, something he did while playing alongside James Harden with the Houston Rockets.
