There is a very real chance that none of the first round picks they received from pick 16 actually end up as first round picks because of protections

There may be a chance, but its a very small chance. I think at worse 1 of the picks doesnt convey.

Assuming that DET and WAS remain absolutely horrible for the next decade is a bit pessimistic. I would bet 2-1 on all 3 conveying over none of the 3.

I would have tried to be cute and input another conditional , if both were conveyed as second OKC to obtain a first from houston in X year lotto protected.

We can’t go for Simmons now. Everything we just did is clearly putting our timeline farther out in the future.

Next move is to use space to get more future picks and then the big move is to trade SGA.

How good precious achiwua can be, if miami can't sign dinwiddie , lowry or any of the other players they want, I think they may be interested in trading for kemba

We still have a hole where marvin bagley would fit, just saying
“If you're getting stops and you're making threes and the other team's not scoring, that's when you're going to see a huge point difference there,” coach Billy Donovan said.

This is all I could find on the Utah board.

Assuming the 2022 pick does go to Memphis, that would open a three-year window for this pick to convey starting in 2024 with top-10 protection in 2024 and 2025 and top-8 in 2026 before converting into a second-round pick according to my ESPN colleague Tim Bontemps. Most likely, we're looking at Utah sending out a pick in the middle to late first round in 2024. The Jazz did structure this pick so that they can offer a guaranteed first-round pick to another team in 2028 if needed for another deal.

Wonder if Presti had already some Kemba trades possibilities before drafting Trae Mann. I like Ty Jerome but just can't see enough minutes for our guards...

Remember that 24 hours when there were takes from people that they'd rather have Moses Brown than the #16 pick we got in the Horford trade

Available exceptions: $9.5 million midlevel, $3.7 million biannual, veterans minimum and trade ($27.5, $12.8 and $9.7 million)

Room under the cap: None

Note: The Thunder are over the salary cap because of their trade exceptions.

Is that right ? I saw this on an ESPN page. Didn't we use the 9,7 million exception for Favors ?

we probably used the Gallo trade exceptions. Still 3 more trade exceptions (happy if we can use one more, the Adams one would be huge).

I assume this would only happen if Kemba were gone. If we are going to use our cap space on someone that wins us games, I would rather go with Jarret Allen. Ideally I would like more of a stretch but a physical center might be nice. We’ve got a lot of guys that are going to get pushed around…shai, Giddey, poku, Theo, Mann, etc.

Edit- just saw this.

Jake is Presti's best friend or he doesn't know anything and just make some stupid rumors.

That Dinwiddie piece is real strange. On top of throwing money at a player who'd only push us towards the middle, he's at the position where we don't have any minutes to spare as it is.

I'm ok with getting Collins, especially if it's something like guaranteed 1st year and then unguaranteed after. He'll need to rehab for the first half of the year anyway and is only 23, so won't impact things too much.

The Dinwiddie move would make 0 sense for either party. The only move we need to make right now is getting on the phone with Minnesota and giving them whatever picks they want for KAT. We would have a very solid team with him.

Don't think Minny is looking to rebuild but that's gonna be a decent reason for Presti to pass on Sengun.

Wonder who is willing to take on Kemba (in exchange of bad contracts of course). Kings if Hield isn't moved? Bulls or Knicks could need a PG but that sounds unlikely.

But is it right, that trade exceptions count on our salary cap ? That would be new for me.
