How much does Lauri Markanen make this off-season? Is there a high end reasonable offer-sheet that Chicago wouldn't match?

Thanks. Seems like their best option to build as much depth as they can. Not overly interested in any of the player returns for sign and trades either.

More from Stein:
Pels, Mavs, and Heat all have Lowry as top priority with Miami perceived favorites
Rival teams think Siakam is available
Neither Dame nor Portland thinking about trading him, but Morey still wants him
Rockets expected to pursue Theis
Non-Stein and expected: Pritchard confirming Indy to pick up Sumner's option

As it should be. I only saw it not being picked up if they had an extension agreed to and it required free agency to execute, like when he signed this deal. Granted, he wouldn't be restricted for that free agency, so it'd take an extreme level of trust on the teams part.

I think in the actual wording I saw, he just said Sumner would definitely be back. So it could potentially be an extension and I messed up in assuming it just meant picking up the option. I don't want to mislead here.

Oh, no worries at all. Either way, he's back, but I assume it's via option. Can't risk a Carlos Boozer type situation when he wouldn't be restricted, and offers a skill set likely to get him paid on the open market.

Yeah I like Giddey.
He had equal stats to LaMelo in NBL on all categories except scoring where he took almost half the shots but has a much higher ts%. He was on a better team than LaMelo too. His stats blew RJ Hamptons out of the water (also in same league).
He's a very smart young players potentially the smartest in the class. I'd say his floor is Evan Turner, still a rotation player at very least. He's more likely to be a Rubio/Ingles hybrid.
You are looking at less flashy LaMelo that takes less shots IMO. I think has potential to be a solid shooter that has a fixable jumper. Main thing to watch is his lower body, it's pretty strong looking. If he can work on that then it could be used like Luka uses his lower body strength when ball handling.

I'd be surprised if Olynik isn't a Raptor tbh.

Re: Thoughts in General, Rumors, etc 3.0
So Dallas got Moses Brown back in the Richardson dump. But MacMahon says they are also surprisingly leaning towards picking up the $4.1M option on WCS. So I'm really a bit confused if the plan remains as all the guys with Dallas ties keep saying--that the plan is THJ and Lowry.
Or Dallas must think that if they pick up WCS they can move him for free if they need the space after all?

I would hope Presti doesn't sign one of the top free agents just as an asset. Unless he never wants to get anyone worthwhile to sign without severely overpaying.

I wouldn’t necessarily say Jake Fisher is the most reliable. He walked back all the SGA being offered in a trade stuff

Yeah he's been throwing a ton out there lately, so I doubt it's true.

Presti works in silence and nothing get leaked but in a matter of two weeks we got like 10+ Thunder rumors. Something is off.
