My preference:
We retain Lowry
We trade FVV

Assuming Lowry signed outright (dal, oak, ..), who do you think raps will target with remaining $$s?

Yup. And they also have Marvin Bagley who is still young and could take a bigger step forward next year after stalling.
The Kings have been rebuilding and stockpiling like forever. They now have three young promising PGs. It would be beyond stupid to keep collecting these assets without cashing them in for guys that can help them take the next step to compete.
I just think the Kings would make a decent trade partner for Masai given their surplus of assets that don’t fit well together yet.

Another team I thought of is Hornets since if they had Hayward and Siakam they could be in the mix immediately around LaMelo. However Bouknight is only ok value for Siakam.
It's going to be a glorious day... I feel my luck could change

Jumping in late but wouldn't Ben Simmons be a great possibility, especially next to a small but fierce Van Vleet? I figured sign and trade Lowry, add Barnes(or something?)...if Morey ever comes back to Earth with his asking price, it might be a good fit with your roster of big , versatile guys like Siakim and OG...again, assuming Lowry is going anyway and PHI is a desirable destination for him.

With all the rumours and the draft and everything, this is what I feel is most likely to happen in the off season.
S&T Lowry for S&T Ball. Lowry gets some 25-28mil and Ball gets some 20 mil with max years on his contract.
Raptors will try to trade Hood and Boucher for someone like Myles Turner- but most likely fail.
They'll try to sign Noel with the non tax payer MLE. Probably fail and sign Birch.
Regular rotation team will be (Yes they'll go back to 10 man rotation)
FVV, Flynn
Ball, GTJ
OG, watanabe
Siakam, Boucher, Barnes
Birch

Well, they’ve been linked to Ball and Dinwiddie.

Re: 2020-21 Season: Draft, Trades, and FA Ideas Thread V2
Toronto trades: Pascal + Flynn + Future protected 1st
Denver trades: Porter Jr. + Aaron Gordon + Monte Morris
The main pieces are Pascal for MPJ. The other guys are needed to make the salary work, with Flynn being included so the Nuggets aren’t left without a backup PG. I don’t know if the pick is necessary but I don’t want to be a homer and overvalue Siakam.
Why?
Toronto gets MPJ who has great size on the wing and can be a primary scorer for the team. Morris is a good backup and Gordon adds additional depth and scoring from the forward spot.
Denver adds a perfect secondary/tertiary scoring option in Siakam to go with Murray and Jokic. He is a defensive upgrade over Porter and will be able to play that end at a higher level with less offensive responsibilities. Denver is in a win now situation and Pascal gives them a better chance than Porter IMO.

If Raps get Ball, then Fred has to be gone for a big. If Pacers trade Brogdon, then maybe Fred for Turner.
#4 picks aren't third at one position on the depth chart. Barnes is gonna play, and probably start in Siakam's absence (just as Siakam started at the beginning of his first season).
If Lowry walks, then Raps have plenty of cap space to sign a Portis/Kelly/Theis type, and Birch with the room exception. It would be nice to have one big cheap C for 5 mill or so, like a RoLo, and one smaller floor spacing C for the MLE or just above, like Portis. Plus Birch, who can play some PF with Portis, especially with Pascal out.
I know we've been linked to Holmes or Allen, but (a) Raps aren't great at signing high profile FAs, (b) neither one is a floor spacer, which is what Pascal needs, and (c) I don't see teams over-investing at the C spot anymore.

Now that we have Scottie Barnes (ugh) in the fold, I suggest we go all in.
Pascal + 2022 first round pick (unprotected) for
Shai Gigelaeous Alexander + Derrick Favors
Resign Lowry.
Favors/Birch/Freddie G
Barnes/Boucher
OG/GTJ/Yuta
SGA/FVV
Lowry/Flynn

My bad. I didn't mean to put Barnes there like it's a depth chart. I imagine Barnes getting lots of playing time, and from the sounds of it at multiple positions. I just listed people in the old school classification of position. Out of everyone Watanabe will likely avg 10 mins, while everyone else will be closer to 20 and over.
I really don't think Getting Ball will mean getting rid of FVV. Especially not for this FO. Non tax payer MLE won't be enough to sign multiple starting quality bigs. Even at cheap, Kelly/Portis/noel will be closer to the 10-15mil range. If Kyle walks Raps will have some 18 mil. But then they'll loose the right to use MLE. I really doubt Raps will allow that to happen. If NO really wants Lowry, then They'll do everything they can to get a double S&T going. This way they'll get to spend 30 Mil and still sign the same players they have rights to. Basically Raps only coming out with their cap space is probably the worst case because it allows them the least amount to gather assets with

Yes, when I said "for the MLE or above", I meant the amount, not the actual MLE. I was talking about the cap space scenario if Lowry walks, where Raps would be able outbid other teams who can only offer the MLE. They could pay Portis 11 mill, and some big big (e.g. RoLo or Zeller) just above the taxpayer MLE that most contender are limited to. And by having cap space, Raps can use the room exception to re-sign Birch.
Everybody seems to want to get back assets for Lowry, but to me, the cap space will help us more (unless it's a real asset like Ball).

Wasn’t the talk about OKC that they didn’t want to pay SGA because he didn’t fit their timeline? I don’t see how Pascal fits if that is the case and not just part of their “get Giddey” smokescreen.

I heard on Ringer's draft show that GS has to pay $50M in luxury tax IF they keep both 1st round picks. This season and it carries on again next season. They HAVE to make a trade. No way the ownership is going to pay that for prospects.
Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.

I agree but they would likely want OG and minimum 3 1st rd picks+ pickswaps.
I'd do it. He's the player we need in this team.

Re: 2020-21 Season: Draft, Trades, and FA Ideas Thread V2
It's really simple...
S&T Lowry if possible.
The best option for the raps is to S&T Jarrett Allen. We obviously want to avoid Lowry walking for nothing and going after an RFA like Allen is risky if the Cavs decide to match plus we likely need the cap space to make the trade work before deciding on Trent.
S&T for Allen would probably just be Lowry and Boucher for Allen.
If the deal doesn't work, let Lowry walk and aggressively pursue Jarrett Allen with an offer sheet for about an $18-20million/year deal. We'll have to waive Baynes, Bembry, Hood, and Boucher, to make that cap space available and make sure we do it before dealing with Trent, cause his qualifying offer will eat into the Cap Hold.
Once all that is worked out, we need to fill out the rest of the roster (Backup SG, third-string PG, and backup C). I like Wayne Ellington on a minimum deal, or really any vet guard-forward that can shoot. Nerleans Noel on the Non-tax MLE, and Khem Birch on the BLE. For a third-string PG, I say evaluate if one of the second-rounders can earn that spot, or just use Barnes at the point and give the two second-rounders two-way deals. We'd still have a couple of roster spots for more shooting on minimum deals.
FVV / Flynn / Johnson (Two-Way) / Banton (Two-Way)
Trent / Ellington / Watson / Coffey
OG / Yuta
Siakam / Barnes
Allen / Noel / Birch / Kaminsky / Gillespie
It looks like a lot of centers and guards, but most of these players are multi-positional so they can really play anywhere.

this sounds ridiculous, but i have to assume forbes is good at carrying the 1:
" As the table shows if the Warriors just keep their draft picks, use their taxpayer Mid Level Exception (MLE) and fill out the roster with veteran minimums they’re looking at an eye-popping combined salary and luxury tax bill of over $380M next season. If they wanted to bring back Kelly Oubre, or use his contract in a sign-and-trade to bring back a player making a similar amount, that number increases almost $460M. "

There were rumors of OKC not wanting to give the max to SGA because of their timeline, what does trading him for a older, worst player in Pascal achieves?

Conspiracy theory trade:
After the rumor leaked that Philly wanted Lowry and the whole roster for Simmons was an intentional leak from the raps. So that when we trade
Siakam and Lowry for Simmons, Thybulle, and salary filler.
The fan base things we getting a good deal.
