I don’t have my hopes for this off-season. Keep our cap space and try and trade for cam reddish with protected first pick. Maybe monk if we can get him on discounts.

I would like Rj to handle the ball and makes plays this season . Similar to how he played in duke

Talks with Boston has stalled. Fournier want 4/80. I will never ever do that.

Yuck

Think Fournier's one of those guys who's primarily a 3pt shooter, but can do a bit more on offense. Actually, kind of what I hope we can develop Grimes into, but not for 20 mil a year

Someone's gonna give him that kind of money though.

We wouldn’t give a second rounder to trade for Fournier at the deadline. What makes you think we would spend 20mil on him? Hard pass. Maybe look to see if we can steal Lonzo THT or GTJ. If not, punt. Unfortunately.

Agreed. We need to start using the cap space to take on bad contracts for assets.. fk free agency

Would ORL bite on Knox + CHA 1 + DAL 1 for Isaac?

This, I’m not punting another year. Use the cap space as an asset if nobody want to come here. We been punting since the start of Scott Perry contract.

Doubtful imo. I think they love Isaac’s defensive potential despite the injuries and are willing to at least give him a chance to show he can get back to that level before moving him unless they get a significant offer

Fournier fits this team at 20mm aav

He’s another #2 or #3 player on a championship level team and doesn’t impede our ability to offer a 35% max or trade for one

Has ball handling skills
Scores efficiently
Can play make
Can lead

All the things we lack he does. He’s a perfect fit for the team rn before we trade for a #1

I legit cannot believe ppl think oubre derozan ball are better players or value as free agents.

Ppl will scoff at paying Fournier 20m but chase down lonzo for 15? What? So he can sit around and watch randle iso? Lonzo doesn’t do anything we actually need. Playmaking, breaking defenses, pnr, shot creation, iso, from the pg position

The only reason I won't be upset if the Knicks sign Schroder, or even Dinwiddie in the worst case scenario, is that the contracts will always be movable if push comes to shove. Boston cleared Kemba just this offseason. If you need to get out, you can. And if you're clearing for a superteam type of move, you're going to need to get rid of most young assets anyway, and if things go really wrong and Schroder is severely underwater then they'll still find a way to clear the space - especially with Aller running that corner.

If they sign one of those guys and they don't go completely bad, then they'll be that much easier to move if/when the superteam option arises again.

But everything else about a Dinwiddie or Schroder signing is apoplectic for me.

We should have been doing this the moment Durant and Irving signed with Brooklyn.

The ppl that would get angry at a 1yr deal for dinwiddle are just biased and salty

Dinwiddle could easily be our next Marcus Morris.

DeRozan doesn't really help the Knicks. He ruins spacing and would only hurt RJ and randle

Bleacher report just cuts and pastes rumors

I would rather trade Charlotte's pick for sexton than take Schroeder

I wouldn't mind Fournier at a reasonable deal. Floor spacer that can create his own shot and pass.
