I like Schroeder but yeah Sexton is definitely the way to go if Thibs wants his north south attacking lead guard. Younger and production rising

Drafting in the 20s and 30s isn't where you get lead talent...unless you get lucky and find the gem. Who told you we would go after lead talent in FA? You have sauces? This FA class is devoid of lead talent and we are not the team getting any of it that is available. Not sure what many expected this off season to be but... there's not much to get excited about. The only options we have for lead talent is taking a risk and overpaying RFAs or gutting the team when a star requests a trade here.

I cant recall where I read or heard that.. but you're not wrong. But is Dennis Schroeder is our best option?....I prefer Lamelo. Maybe a trade for another more talented midget Sexton...

Not a fan of Schroeder. I really don't care for any of the guards we will most likely have to choose from. I'm not even trying to figure out who to go after or what we need to do anymore. I'm just gonna let it do what it do. The team has given no inclination of what they want to do since day one. We do know they aren't gonna go youth movement to build a core so...here we are. Fumbling around with mediocre talent/draft picks and trying to win games with one year vets leading the way.

This is a meh free agent class

Two game changing stars

Kawhi- will be out next season with injury. Even then he is from l.a and isnt leaving there.

Cp3- when suns made finals that dream died

Next tier

Lowry- probably the best available free agent on the market.

Conley- most likely staying in Utah

Then you have

Lonzo- meh. Good defender and passer, but if your paying him all that money to be a 3 and d while randle handles the ball. Doesn't make much sense

Schoder- not really a fan..I would not do anything over a 1 year deal

Devonte graham- quickley can give you what he provides

Its not a very exciting class from stars to point guards

Free agency class ain’t all that but Knicks need fo get some impact players. If we going to be ran like OKC, should of picked upside guys. If you want to win, get guys to fill the gaping holes we have at point guard and SF who can do more than spot up.

He's a pretty average starting PG, but still a starting PG

I'd rather someone who's a better defender and better shooter (though he isn't terrible at that now, 35.5% over the past 3 years), but he's fine

I don't want to pay him what he wants to get paid though.

If you could pay him like 15-17 million per year it be fine but anything more than that would be dumb. Seems like the market isn’t great for him so he shouldn’t be getting that 100 mill he wants

Rose needs to be resigned but he already said we have big plans as soon as the season was over. Imma miss his impact on this team. Hope he stays and we sign another PG to start.

People here make it sound like schroder is trash when he fits what thibs wants from his PG a relentless attacker and if they sign him it means Lowry CP3 weren't interested in coming here and Knicks weren't interested in Ball who is opposite of what thibs wants so it makes sense why Knicks are targeting schroder after sexton trade didn't happen.

Knicks also trash with assist. Lonzo promotes ball movement and pushes for easy baskets which we such at. But I get Thibs offense is iso and drive and kick, yeah that’s going to work. Need more than drive and kick, that’s a nba 2k offense.

No need to overpay for anyone this offseason, if it’s too much than walk away. In this list I like:

Lowry - only if he’s not trying to rob us, he would be a perfect fit here.

London Ball - he’s improving every year, but if he’s asking 20 mil+ than I’m out.

Devonte Graham - very active player, I wanted the Knicks to draft him.

D.Rose - love what he brought to this team

Kendrick Nunn - more of a small 2 guard, but no defense

TJ McConnell - great defender/passer, but can’t shoot

Reggie Jackson - pesky defender ball doesn’t really look to pass

Cameron Payne - Paul makes everyone around look good, ask Schroeder. Plus he’s playing for a new contract, can he continue?

I do not like Schroeder, for one he is way to expensive for what he brings to the table. All though I do believe that playing with Bron hurt him this year I don’t feel that he has the defense to be a starter plus he is a very selfish player.

I do not like Dinwiddie, he can rot

Paul is getting 90mil from the Suns and I do like Conley, but does he spread the floor like we need him to?
