We dont have enough talent, and we’re not even ready to compete for a title. Why bother?

It is exactly why the last team failed. We competed half-baked.

I don't mind cheering for the playoffs. As long as the young guys lead us there. As a fan, cheering against wins (tank) sucks. Then we get to the bottom and loose the lotto anyway. Let's push to win and if we tank it's natural, not forced.

Orlando projects to have ten Magicians 23 years old or younger next season. And the "Vets" are 27, 29 and 30 years old.
Carter-Williams and Ross do project to get minutes, but sink or swim, this is a development, ental year by definition.

If we are in the PLAY-IN next season I would think its because the development of our 3 young soon-to-be-sophomores are further than anticipated AND the recovery of both JI and Fultz are more advanced than we thought. Which are both a good thing.

I peg the Magic at 29 wins next season. So overachieving by about 7 games to e the 10-seed, that is not impossible (I hope).

I expect Mosley to improve the post play of the players AND improve And-1 opportunities.

The Magic is a gazelle team; it will be all run and gun. Lot's of ESPN highlight plays can be expected. And lots of Tis, bad shots, and LOSES.

I'll personally be shocked if we win over 20 games. With the number of raw young players we're going to have in the rotation, combined with the obvious push on behalf of management and the new coaching staff to prioritize their development, I expect us to be really bad.

I do think we will be a fast-paced, high-flying, and hard-working team, however. So the actual product may be more digestible for people than the last few years were, but we will lose a ton of games. Especially if Ross is moved.

He took over briefly when Johnny Davis was fired.

I thought so. Didn't do that much better.

Portland has hired Steve Hetzel from Orlando. Unless Corbin sticks around as a guy with head coach experience, it doesn't seem like they will be retaining any of Clifford's assistants to Mosley's staff.

I know it won't happen, but it sure would be sweet if we got D’Antoni as an assistant coach to help the team with their offense.
Offer him a big salary and a no-pressure position with lots of golfing in the sun. Just to ensure our kids... young fellas are on the right path towards shooting with skill.

Adrian Wojnarowski: Brooklyn Nets assistant Mike D’Antoni is stepping away from a full-time coaching role on Steve Nash’s staff, sources tell ESPN. D’Antoni is expected to pursue head coaching jobs again in the future. He was a finalist for the Portland opening this year. – via Twitter wojespn

Mosley and Suggs are a match made in heaven. Even watching the press conference today Suggs and Mosley at random points exchange looks and smile about something that's said.

Suggs is the perfect sort of Up-tempo, shotmaking, defensive, high-IQ guard for what Mosley is looking to do with this young team. Wagner should flourish in the up-tempo style as well, which was similar to what he played in at Michigan.

I'm just really hoping that the X's && O's side of things are going to be strong because Mosley is going to build a ton of important relationships on this team. I feel like this culture mantra that Weltman has been saying for years, finally has a chance to come to fruition with this youth movement (led by Suggs) and new coach.

I'm excited.

Agree. To me, it looks like Mosley has the perfect "QB/coach on the floor" in Suggs, despite his age. If those two develop the chemistry, Suggs could be the guy who naturally spreads and enforces the coaches mentality. Sounds crazy, but Suggs could be the "veteran leader" of this team from his first game.

just want 3 simple things from Mosley and the staff next year

-to play hard on defense, with creativity, taking risks and not just usual pure drop coverage

-to push the pace every time is possible, being at least in top 15 in pace at the end of the year

-to work hard and give priority to develop 3 point shoot, expecially spot-up.

I know we have a new coach and roster. But I still need to see this uptempo pace to believe it. I swear I heard a lot of push the pace throughout the years and nothing changed

With us having no high 3pt shooting plus we have young legs... the only way we coach can find success is to run.
