Keeping in his mind other teams demand and moving back if we somehow have made a move that can later align with their needs .

And I think he's gotta have a big ass list.

I remember sam saying they had a standing offer with the pacers for the George trade. They held firm and finally Pritchard called and accepted. I'm not sure that it's quite as easy to do the same thing with the draft. There are so many moving parts that it likely gets chaotic.

Given that everyone else in the top 5 has leaks other than Orlando , we probably haven’t made any offer yet if the plan is to move into top 4.

This kid might be the next Kobe but I’ve struggled to like him all along. His talent is undeniable but that’s where it ends for me.

Looks so arrogant. Not a good feeling about him. I like the Rockets squad a lot right now but wouldn't surprise me if they have some locker room issues with Green / KPJ and Wall.

Ya they drafted some talent but fit and leadership could be an issue. It will be interesting to see how it goes. They really need to get rid of wall and find a point guard. Building too fast without the right kind of culture in place can backfire.

I think Green and KPJ have the fire to succeed but need the right mentor . I don’t think wall is the right type .they probably off learning from Augustin or heck Rubio .

I mean, hopefully he's Jr Smith, but I'm not going to bet against talent.
“If you're getting stops and you're making threes and the other team's not scoring, that's when you're going to see a huge point difference there,” coach Billy Donovan said.

I kind of like Bonga. I’d be ok with picking him up.

It’s kind of like we don’t have any roster spot actually and that’s before free agency trading etc.

I would disagree. We have like 6-8 roster spots, the only guys who even might be in our future plans are shai, lu, poku, theo, and the 4 rookies. Add kemba who we can't cut. Anybody else could be gone as soon as you find someone who might have more upside.

We don’t really need a guard, but Monk could be a good pick up for someone.

If said player is available via a trade sure . But I don’t believe Presti will sign the offer sheet for someone like bonga . Don’t think he’s going to be available for something cheap or so .

Actually, we had the chance to take someone with more upside at the draft but we passed on taking 16 for this season hence my earlier position but sure 10-15 can all be gone tml if somehow we managed to trade for players with better upside than them with our TPEs

That Shelburne article is interesting. It lines up the Doc statement about how the Clips knew OKC was looking to blow it up. They knew because Kawhi told them Russ had called him.

I guess both Doc and Sam's statements can be somewhat true. Maybe OKC wasn't looking to blow it up but Doc new both guys wanted out.

if they knew, they could have made the deal for less picks I think (or Shai). Probably Presti leverage with Toronto helped.

Committing to him like that for 5 years seems crazy given he's not an all-NBA level talent, you just drafted a guy who will probably become a better player at the position once he fills out, and centers of his skill set are not that hard to come by.

Javale mcgee will give you 80%of the production at 20% of the price. Guess everyone gets enamored with their Steven Adams.
