I get what you're saying about white players being compared to white players. If anything I think Wagner gets a bad rap. I've heard people say who's he going to guard, just assuming he can't move his feet, because he's European.jonbob17 wrote:basketballRob wrote:My original point was that I compared him to Hayward not because he was white. Hayward has been the player most have compared him to. Franz used to be a 6'4" guard in Europe and was similar to Hayward back then. Also the Chuma similarities came from how smart Franz is on the court.jonbob17 wrote:
Chuma is a playmaker?
College Assist%
Franz 11.8
Chuma 11.3
Otto 14 pretty close for all 3
I do think Franz will be able to create a little, both off the dribble and passing. Again I am not talking about Orlando Magic Otto Porter, I am talking about Washington Porter. If Franz turns out as good as Porter, it will be a tremendous pick, hopefully we can say the same of Chuma.
I will be curious to see what kind of Contract Otto gets, he still can shoot and defend. Lakers fans are all over themselves thinking they are going to get him for the tax payer MLE. Orlando has a real chance to S&T, or to sign and then trade at the deadline.

My point is that a lot of the draft Prognosticators do only compare white guys to white guys and then we regurgitate it. Or other lazy comps like RJ hamptons most common comp Dante Exum, they look a like. Giddey, Joe ingles, even though Giddey had elite passing stats, while Ingles never passed until he was in the nba, and is just ok
