Just saw this. Forbes is an excellent 3pt shooter and would be a great Shamet replacement.

Forbes would be a welcomed addition.

The first thing that pops into my mind was the Spurs connection.

Also, I think he has way more explosiveness with shooting and getting open off the ball than Shamet does.

If marks can get Bryant from the Wizards in a Dinwiddie deal it would be amazing

Absolutely . I really hope we're not looking into Kuzma, please god no. Maybe Harrell ok but Bryant is pretty much the only guy I would want from the Wiz for Din. Avdija and Rui is probably off limits.

If Bryant is healthy, I would take him and Kuzma for Spencer. Kuz can at least give us some depth and Bryant fills a need at C and can also hit open threes. Maybe we can offload DeAndre while we are at it

I can see us bringing in Forbes and then him leaving next year after a brilliant season shooting 44% and then not playing a lick in the finals

There is something about Kuzma I don’t like. It’s like that intangible thing Simmons has as well where they are flashy and all and people love them but they don’t move the needle in the post season

I would only want Kuzma for depth.

The funny part is, a few years back ppl used to complain that we traded the 1st rd pick that became Kuzma for D'Angelo Russell.

Forbes is in the category of elite shooters... not just a catch and shoot guy, he can do it from all 5 spots, off the dribble, off balance/off screen. and he doesnt play scared. not the defender/size of shamet, but an excellent replacment. id be happy with that use of the MLE

Kuzma could be used for us in a mid season trade later to bring in a better fit

Wizards fan here. I don't really see them offering much more than Kuzma and Harrell for Dinwiddie. If you'd rather have Bertans we'd happily do that for you. ;-) Also, Jordan is not a good fit, and I don't see them trading Bryant.

Bertans is the best fit, but nets wouldnt deal for him for the same reason they wont sign dinwiddie. with our long term tax bill we cant commit to a large deal like that.

Harrell has 1 year left and kuzma is moveable.

i think the nets would likely pass on kuzma if harrell wasnt such an awful fit for nash. but since thats a non-starter i think it is porbably

Kuzma/ 8 million TPE for dinwiddie at 4/84

Nets look to move kuzma at the deadline unless he has some enormous breakout.

dumping jordan in the deal would be ideal

I think the Wizards would be ok with keeping Harrell as he would be easy to move for some value as an expiring contract at the trade deadline. I totally get that Bertans is a non starter in a deal because of luxury tax payments.

Cant see the Wizards switching Kuzma with Bryant.

Sup fam. Thanks for the insight

For me personally I don't want Harrell. Yes he hustles and rebounds, but he is a terrible defensive player and can't shoot.

I would take Kuzma and another player. I totally understand why you want to keep Bryant. Maybe Kuz, a player to match salary and a protected 2022 1st?

Having Harris and Forbes is spacing galore for Harden, Kyrie and KD to operate. Especially harden with his out of this world court vision. You simply can’t defend harden or any of those three one one one so who’s man is going to rotate and help? It won’t be Harris or Forbes man because harden will just get them the ball out of the double for a wide open look on each corner.

Having said that if Bobby portis was willing to except the 6 million I would gladly take him over Forbes everyday of the week but I saw somewhere the Knicks are planing to offer him big money and bring back after his last stint there now that he has exercised his option .
