Don't think we have the space, but him and Lamelo would be a really nice fit together.
Well easy answer to that is sign Liangelo....and bring LaVar in as a consultant.

They want to create a playoff team, so Zion would be happier. Having Lowry on PG spot only help max two years, but that is all they need or so they think and hope.

Man, if Fultz is getting 15 a year Lonzo is definitely worth 20.

Re: Bulls set to give Lonzo 4/80mil contract
I really want to move on from Lonzo. He is such a weird player. He isn't your typical PG, more like wing that can pass.
His on ball defense is not good as people think, however he is quite good at help defense.
Problem is he is so bad in halfcourt offense, and he can't be more than spot up shooter in those situations.
Paying 20 mils for spot up shooter is too much...
I would really want to try SnT with Pacers for Brogdon. I don't see anything worth trading for on Bulls roster(that they would trade).
Pels are in bad situation. Lowry is too old, Lonzo is not good enough and giving keys to young guys (NAW and Kira) may be too early and speed up Zion's exit...
If we strike out on Lowry and Brogdon i would match that, but not a penny over that.

This. I think people sre in for a real shock if they get Lonzo on their team and realize how bad he is in the half court game because he’s so bad at getting to the rim and finishing.
The idea of making him the primary ballhandler is hilarious, unless the plan is for him to stand at the top of the 3 point line and wait for people to get wide open on their own, because he can’t get anyone open.

If true that has sign and trade all over it. Not enough to make the Pels let him walk for nothing. Bulls will have to make it interesting for them

Simmons, Lonzo and Murray are all represented by Klutch and all are on the block
Take from that what you will

We don’t need a half court general. Our offense will run through LaVine & Vuc and was already quite solid last year. Lonzo is the perfect fit for us. A guard who can look after the ball and make smart plays (White is awful as a ball handler), and play very good defense and hit open shots. We don’t want him to be a half court initiator, but almost a 3 & D point guard who can get out in transition with Zach whilst also being able to play SF in some 3 guard lineups.

Re: Bulls set to give Lonzo 4/80mil contract
Lonzo works for the Bulls as a wing that can pass or a PG, we're literally a perfect fit.

A lot of defensiveness already and he’s not even there yet.
Hopefully we can work a sign snd trade, and since he’s so damn perfect, the Bulls can send us some value back.

If Im NOP and cant sign Lowry, Im definitely matching this. Use the rest of the cap on a 3-D wing.

Re: Bulls set to give Lonzo 4/80mil contract
I watched a lot of Pels games and can tell you all they need is a closer. They butchered so many leads down the stretch in just the dumbest ways.
Lonzo isn't a problem, they should keep him, and Willie G should just teach these kdds how to execute when the pressure gets turned up.

I agree with him not being a problem, but he’s so uninspiring in all facets that it feels like the money can be better spent. His defense is good but not great, his passing is really good, but he’s not enough of a scoring threat to be able to utilize it most times, and his 37% shooting is literally with teams going under screens and leaving him wide open and it’s buoyed by a super hot February where he shot 46% from 3.
Teams literally dare him to try and score and he can’t punish them most nights. I don’t think his defense is nearly what people think it is either.
I wouldn’t hate matching because he’s still a plus starter, can get better, and 3-4 years from now, this deal probably looks a lot smaller with an ever climbing cap.

All PGs in his tier are 20mil players which include Schroeder and Dimwiddie. The Pgs you probably think are worth 20mil are actually worth 30.
That's what the Kyle Lowrys/CP3s/Conley are worth and they are indeed in a higher tier but it sometimes takes us fans a while to realize that all the players you truly feel are worth things are 30pkus million dollar players. A midtier guy is nearing 20mil these days. You need like 5 mil just to convince aguy with one foot into retirement to join the end of your bench.. Inflation man

Re: Bulls set to give Lonzo 4/80mil contract
I'd also expect New Orleans to match, but media has been selling a lukewarm internal view from the Pelicans on Lonzo all season so we'll see what happens.
I think Lonzo and Lavine makes a lot of sense in that they're kind of opposite. Lavine is all offensive-fire power but low on defense and decision making. Lonzo has no offensive firepower but is a great decision-maker and defender. I like the tall (but skinny) backcourt.
Lavine and Satoransky played really well together for Chicago. Combing through their lineups, a lot of the best ones had Lavine/Sato backcourts (and Thaddeus Young, holy crap were they better with Thadd Young!). Lonzo Ball could be viewed as an upgrade over the same player type. Sato has a better pull up game, so it's not a perfect upgrade, but Lonzo is a big guard with even better passing and defense.
The Bulls need defense so badly. They've kind of shot their foot off by pairing 2 offensive stars with major defensive shortcomings. Yes, Bulls fans, I know Lavine took major steps forward on defense last year and that his effort was terrific. He's still not a plus defender and probably never will be. Vooch is another guy who tries his best, but is just lacking in tools. Putting as many good defenders around those 2 is their only chance of making the playoffs imo.
