Almost surely going overseas and thus was drafted as a draft and stash flyer.

It’s an empty gym shooting 1 on 0 so I take it with a major grain of salt, but the form is great.

Yeah, I remember when people were intrigued with Sirvydis' shooting.

Best case is this kid ends up in Europe for three years and then Detroit owns his rights when he's ready to come back Stateside. No way this is anything other than a draft and stash.

I think he could sign a g-league contract for $70K or whatever they pay their non-NBA affiliated players and Detroit would keep his rights as a SRP much like if he signed to play in Europe.

If that's the case and they still hold his rights, it'd be a lot better to have him close and develop him into their system.

Eh, not to be negative but every NBA franchise is tweeting a brief video of a draft pick hitting open shots in the gym. I think it's safe to assume most NBA players are draining their wide open gym shots.

I think it's mostly about the stroke from deep. He didn't shoot from deep at FSU but most believe it was due to game plan/coaching and not lack of ability. I think he'll be a two way player for the Pistons.

Maybe, but I think that's unlikely.

Pistons have already used one of their 2ways on Chris Smith.

Yeah, if Balsa gets a 2-way, that puts Livers AND Garza on the roster. Seems unlikely.

But not impossible.

Wasn't this guy a team mate of Cade's in high school?

Same here, thus no grade for the pick submitted.

I guess any positive is good news.

Didn’t he look lost in summer league?

Totally forgot he was even drafted. But here is a sweet dunk from a few days ago. He looks strong and can get up.

He's too slow-footed to ever be an NBA player but it's nice he's having some success in Europe.
Tom Gores' Securus faced a class action lawsuit in 2024. The company engaged in a "quid pro quo kickback scheme" with county jails in Michigan which banned in-person visits in order to maximize revenue from voice and video calls.
