A thin FA market helps, but many people don’t seem to have noticed how much better he’s played since leaving LA. Efficiency and 3-pt shooting are much better, defense is solid, excellent passer. Only 23.

I doubt he’ll be ever an all star but he should be a starter or high end rotation guy for years.

I dont get how so many people believe in the raptors, they have zero to chance to win it all.

$20 per for 23yo Lonzo seems like a good deal imo, especially if the cap increases in the near future. Tbh as a Heat fan I'd much rather have 23yo Lonzo on a $80/4 than 35yo Lowry on a $90/3

I like the fit as far as LaVine/Ball/P. Williams/Vuc. The Bulls are pot committed with respect to that core at this point.

I don't think he makes that big of a difference but Bulls gotta be feeling bit desperate to get outta of the lottery especially with their pick going to the Magic.

Lonzo is good. Are we supposed to pretend he isn’t good? Is he Tatum? No. Tatum a superstar, but just because he didn’t turn into magic Johnson doesn’t mean he isn’t an excellent player .

Bulls own their 2022 Pick so it doesn't matter if they strikeout in free agency in 2021.

Lonzo is a good player. What’s wrong with 20m a year? That’s like half a max. It’s 2021 people. It took me a while too starting with that Deng-Mozgov money but this is the norm for decent players now.

If Lonzo turns out like our last $20M per year contract everyone hated on, we'll be in decent shape.

He's turned into one of the great catch and shooters

But he is not a floor general by any stretch

He's basically Duncan Robinson at this point

Lonzo isn't a problem, they should keep him, and Willie G should just teach these kdds how to execute when the pressure gets turned up.

I watched a fair amount of Pels games (as well as 4th quarters) and it seemed like Ingram just couldn't hit a jumper in the last 5m of a game. Am I crazy or did your offensive sets just turn into Ingram ISO down the stretch?

I assume moving on from Stan will fix a lot of your issues.

Pointgod wrote:If Pels are in a bidding war for Lowry and the Bulls come out of the gate with an offer then the Pelicans have no choice but to let Ball go. Since Ball will take up their cap space and they can’t trade for Lowry unless it’s a sign and trade but they’d have to send back the all their rookie contracts to make up Lowry’s salary. I think it’s a smart move from the Bulls, a team that needs to add some defense and another playmaker around Lavine and Vucevic.

There would be plenty of room on the Pelicans/Grizzlies trade to include Lowry in a S&T with Raptors. That is not the issue. The issue if that it looks like Lowry going to Heat.

Except that LaVine is a 2022 unrestricted free agent and can go anywhere he wants next summer. If the Bulls aren't in the playoffs why wouldn't he go somewhere that is?

Yup, there were some exceptions and Zion got more touches late in games later in the year. But Ingram iso was deemed the safe close and it just didn't work.

I think it's going to take an outrageous offer for the Pelicans to not match, this doesn't seem outlandish to me.
Unless the Pelicans get Lowry (very unlikely), i think they match this easily
