Raps have like 20 mill in cap space. I cant imagine a scenario where they take Dragic as they have actual needs to address. Could be a 3teamer, but i cant quickly envision who could take Dragic or would even want to for that amount of money. Dallas? But theyre in the hunt for Lowry too and paying Dragic 20 mill isnt exactly a good use of their cap space either.

I dunno. Im sure theyve game planned this out, but i dont see it yet. Who can take Dragic in a 3teamer while either giving useful players the Raps would want or clean cap space?

Would Dallas finally take Dragic for one year into cap space (could they keep THJ’s cap hold or would it take other moves?) if they are runner ups in the Lowry sweepstakes? Or, would Toronto just take Dragic for the year, and maybe look to re-route him for some value later?

Dallas would have to sign Timmy to a new deal(and almost certainly clear a bit more space) to take on Dragic, but yes I think if they could make the finances work Dallas would be an option.

While im not enamoured with killing our cap space, i'd take Dragic/Precious/Okpala in a S&T, but thats just because ive always liked Precious going back to the draft last year. I think Dragic could flipped at a later time too

My guess with Dragic is he'll be bought out and it's already been agreed to. Which team can take him on for $19M? OKC strikes again for another FRP? Or he accepts a small buyout and then signs with a contender of his choice for whatever percentage of their MLE they decide on.

Siakam is injured to start, Boucher is a FA to be who i dont think we'll be bringing back (and this opens up a decent deadline deal for him for a team looking to make a run) and Barnes is versatile and will play anywhere from 1-4.

I think Precious is worth a late 1st and i think Dragic can bring in a 1st at the deadline. I also dont think there's any FA's out there better than a Dragic/Precious combo. Ball is gonna go to a bigger market and Allen will be matched. Who else are the Raps gonna get? Cause i have reservations of paying Holmes a 4/80 deal

Anywhere from $15-24m would generally work, and seems possible. Factor in a team sending maybe two players (one is the value and the other is the filler), and the window opens even more considerably.

probably not, but i dont expect Dragic to spend the entire year on the Raps. Think he gets moved. This could also be a 3 way as Texas Chuck mentioned in a post above that he wouldnt mind Dallas taking Dragic on. If not, he could get moved at the deadline to bring the raps under the tax. You'd only need to shed like 5-7 mill to get under it depending on what GTJ ends up being paid
