If Dragic does get cut or stretched or waived or whatever.. I can’t think of a better match for us. I strongly believe that he can still hit open shots, run offense, and make plays for 10-12 minutes at a high level. Sure he is sort of a slovenian grayson allen in terms of his prickishness. But Goran can play and could possibly be had for peanuts.

That’s if you assume one of the Clippers or Raptors are accepting Dragic as part of the package. Maybe the Raptors would if it included a couple young assets and some picks to do a solid for Lowry but zero chance the Clippers help Miami get Kawhi. If the Heat were going to land Kawhi, they’d have declined Dragic’s option to open the cap space to sign him.

Kawhi is opting out to sign another 1+1 so he can opt out again next season for the full max for players with 10 years of service. His family is in San Diego, so he’s not leaving LAC unless San Diego gets a team. The Twolves should move there just to land him.
