For Olynyk fans...this from HoopsHype today:
"The Detroit Pistons have interest in signing center Kelly Olynyk ...Some around the league believe Olynyk could command between the full mid-level exception and $12 million annually on the market."

“Myers is a failure if he doesn’t get Olynyk to sign with us on a vet min deal!” - Some posters here
If I don't have anything funny to say, can I still have a signature?

I knew the TPMLE would be a reach, but if the report is right then that's likely a non-starter unless winning games rates higher for Olynyk.
Chriss/Theis then

I think Chriss is realistic...I'd be OK with that.

Re: Free Agent Talk
Iggy is a FA, I saw him a couple of weeks ago at my sons basketball game and he was throwing it down with the kids, nice guy. I’m cool at the vet min.

Re: Free Agent Talk
Think Portis would like to get an offer to be the starting C on the Warriors for the TPMLE? (I would guess not)

Here we go: AP's Tim Reynolds reports that Andre Iguodala is expected to meet with the Warriors during the free agency moratorium period after the Heat declined a team option on Iguodala earlier today.

Get both! Jk probably not possible. If the market is too hot for Batum then I could see iggy being a good pickup on the vet min and a perfect mentor for Moody and Kuminga.

The only concern I have with Batum is if he can play with the level of effort and health this year as last year. My concern with Iguodala is if his body can play at a high level at all anymore. It would be really great to have him back, but the dude is ancient and there are limited roster spots for vets.

I don’t want Iggy back unless it’s for the vet min. Otherwise I’m out.
But if we pulled Iggy and Batum our our butts, then I’m doing back flips

Re: Free Agent Talk
Kind of sad. If you look at the NBA stats from last year and limit it to FAs who had at least 5 rebounds a game and shot at least 30% from 3 Oubre is pretty high on that list, and it's a list of players that are too expensive for the Warriors.

Re: Free Agent Talk
Somehow we got Moody/Kuminga in the draft. Wouldn’t surprise me if they landed Batum/Andre in FA.
Curry/Poole
Klay/Lee/Moody
Wiggins/Andre/Kuminga
Green/Batum/JTA
Looney/Wiseman/Theis
EP, Jessup, Bazemore, or no one in the last roster spot
8 man playoff rotation:
Curry/Klay/Wiggins/Green/Batum/Poole/Andre
plus Looney/Wiseman/Theis/JTA/Lee/Rookies depending on matchup/playability

Re: Free Agent Talk
It would be a stupid move giving Iggy more than the vet minimum. So if he wants more then it's an easy pass for us.

If we get Batum and Iguodala to add to the mix, we will then be known as;

Re: Free Agent Talk
Slater on Batum: "The Warriors were close on Nic Batum a year ago. He told them he’d have probably come, on the minimum, had Klay Thompson not been injured, ending the Warriors’ title chances. He instead chose the Clippers, and wisely. Batum had a resurgent season and helped them reach the conference finals.
So wouldn’t he just go back to Los Angeles, perhaps on a raise? Maybe not. Kawhi Leonard’s ACL surgery has the Clippers’ championship hopes feeling a bit wobbly at the moment.
There is mutual interest between Batum and the Warriors, sources said. He’s currently in Tokyo, competing for France. But there is expected to be contact with his representation early in the free-agency process. Batum, sources said, understands how well he’d fit the Warriors’ system and, as a notable bonus, has an established relationship with new assistant Kenny Atkinson, who coached him last season with the Clippers.
It would probably cost the Warriors some or all of their taxpayer mid-level to secure Batum, who Yahoo! Sports reported had interest from the incumbent Clippers, Heat and Pacers. Because of the massive repeater tax implications to every dollar they add, the Warriors won’t go beyond the minimum for too many of their free-agent targets, but Batum is the type of fit and contributor who they’d presumably deem worth it."

Re: Free Agent Talk
There is going to be a market for Batum after he redeemed himself last year. Not sure the TPMLE will even get him, unless he really want to come here.

Re: Free Agent Talk
no way TPMLE gets Batum
while everyone focuses on Batum I think we should offer it to McConnell...don't think that gets him either but maybe he can be persuaded because we'll give him good minutes and it's a fun team to play for.
otherwise, I think it'll end up being someone like Austin Rivers, which is fine.
then we can also bring in Iggy/Chriss on the vet mins, and we should be good.

Re: Free Agent Talk
considering the above, plus my proposed trade of Wiseman/Paschall for Dwight Powell (and 2 future firsts), our roster would more or less look like
Steph / McConnell
Klay / Poole / Moody
Wiggins / Iggy / JTA
Dray / Powell / Kuminga
Looney / Chriss
id take this roster top to bottom vs anyone not named Nets.
