I played basketball at the division two level I suspect that’s higher than 99.9% of the people that frequent this site. I’m guessing I’m a lot more qualified than you at evaluating basketball players

You’re guessing wrong if you think Tobias Harris is better than Khris Middleton. And if you think playing basketball makes someone a good evaluator of basketball players, your takes are getting worse. NBA history is full of horrible talent evaluators that played the game at the highest level. Try again.

7% of high school athletes are good enough to play at the college level I’m guessing you’re in a 93%

PER

Sorry it’s indisputable

Middleton simply in a better situation Harris is the better player

Middleton 23.6 in a championship playoff run
Tobias 21.8 losing in second round as a favorite

Indisputable

You’re taking a few games I’m taking into account the entire season like I said I suspect I’m a lot more qualified than you and evaluating basketball players

You have such an experienced eye for talent that your only defense of Harris was his PER lol. Can’t make this up

This year is the closest Harris has ever come to being on Middleton's level. He's still not as good or better than him, though. Harris did increase his passing and unassisted bucket scoring. That said, he's still not the playmaker that Khris is. And Harris is an outright unwilling three point shooter, at times. Middleton provides tremendous gravity from distance with his fearless trigger.

If true, this is the best news of the off season. Not sure what Morey was seeking from Houston, but I certainly hope that calls to Portland and Indy are on the docket.

It's gotta be Eric Gordon he was calling on.

Houston just brought in a ton of young wings that need playing time. 33 year old Eric Gordon obviously has no business being on that team.

His unwillingness to shoot threes is a killer, and his ability to close games for us is infrequent. He has improved dramatically since joining the league, but may have hit his ceiling. He is a borderline all-star, who may make an all-star team if the stars ever align for him. I think if we had a legit number two, Tobias would be okay as a third best player. However, he doesn’t have the firepower and consistency to be depended on to win us games. For us, it’s generally Embiid dominates or we lose.

I pretty much assumed they were shopping Harris. Maybe they discussed something with John Wall. Not sure what big salaries Houston has.

He's not and it isn't even a little bit close. When did Harris carry this team in a playoff game the way Middleton did the Bucks when they needed him to in these playoffs?

Middleton is a legit 2nd tier star, Harris was the classic 'good player on a bad team' that Brand was stupid enough to give up too much for and then compound the mistake by handing him a max contract. If the Sixers do nothing but move him for a scoring guard, this will have been a successful off season.

Yeah Harris with Middletons trigger and lack of conscience shooting would be a lot closer discussion. Nonetheless

Drop the 'hater garbage. I don't give a rat's ass where you played, if you actually watched the two players in these playoffs and concluded that Harris is better the player, you are clueless. And the fact that someone of your vast playing experience has nothing to back up his claim but a statistic, I question whether you ever played at any level.

You know, I believe this guy has been trolling us. If so, nice work.

PER is a bad stat. Ask the creator of it, John Hollinger. He’ll tell you himself.
