3 reasons for the complaint
1)Riley
2) heat don’t need cap space and still sign biggest free agent
3) team in east getting better

Of course Lowry was rumored to the Knicks, several times, but it’s not even so much losing out on Lowry it’s just how the heat don’t ever need cap space and still get whomever they want, because Riley knows how to sell culture..plus of course Riley leaving the knicks

Riley isn't selling culture. The only thing the players have to worry about is hurricane season, and not having to deal with crazy state taxes.

Lowry doesn’t even make the heat better than the Celtics let alone the Bucks, Nets or 76ers.. hell the Hawks might even be better than the Heat with Lowry

It has never been about Riley.
The reason for players signing with the Heat has always been because of Dwyane Wade.
The Heat also don't value draft picks and Knicks fans lose their minds when it comes to draft positioning every year.

we've discussed this before many many times on the board

whatever you think of any players is completely immaterial. we're spending all of the capspace by RJ's max, and that is guaranteed.

The other players are material, if the Knicks overpay for mediocre talent they are a treadmill team not a contender. Did you miss that part?

If the Knicks can underpay for quality talent then when they do use up all the cap space it's a team that contends...not pretends.

This is the point!

no

you are failing to understand the principle of capspace and the extensions RJ and Randle will command. In order to maximize the utility of us CURRENTLY being under the cap, it is necessary that the team uses all of its capspace before RJ and Randle are extended because we possess their bird rights and have the ability to go over the cap to resign both players. We will collect contracts via trades and FA or RFA before we sign RJ to his new RFA. RJ's contract will likely move from 10m to 25m+ and Randle's at 18 to 25m+. Both need to be extended while we are OVER THE CAP.

if the team does not utilize the capspace before resigning RJ, then RJ's new contract will prohibit the team from going over the cap in FA.

so again.

we are spending all of the capspace or trading RJ/Randle before '23 whether you like this or not, its a guarantee.

Apparently you like to argue about nothing at all because you keep avoiding the point and debating the obvious part we both know....eventually the Knicks will spend the cap space.

So stop quoting me with this nonsense, you aren't saying anything I have any interest in discussing any further since you prefer the Knicks overpay for mediocre talent just because they have to spend it.
If you'd rather see your team fail so you can be right
...you are a fan of your opinion not the team.

What are the chances he's recruited Lowry to join him on the Knicks? Slim to none right but Clippers aren't who they thought they would be. Maybe maybe not

Too bad he didn't play at Kentucky or was represented by CAA.

We drafted and traded for guys who aren’t from either of those establishments

I agree. He is old and I didn’t want the Knicks to sign him. He’s getting paid because cp3 seems to defy logic and Father Time and still play well at age 37 or however old he is. I don’t have the same confidence in Lowry and he could be an albatross contract

There’s a rumor in order for heat to get Lowry, a team like the Knicks will take on Dragic. I like this option a lot. He’s a Thiba type.
