On paper, Fournier and Schroder makes this team better so you're doing what you need to do to remain an attractive destination. Now look at the trade itself... we are going to have to match salary which is about $40 mil. If you throw them Schroder (since they need a PG now) as the main piece salary-wise then you can build off that with complementary players and picks. It also makes it way easier to find a third team that might have an expiring deal they want to dump.
It's not my ideal scenario but it's certainly not LOL KNICKZ like so many want it to be.
