Maybe the D part.

I just looked his stats up. For some reason I thought he had a respectable 3 shot.

He did for two seasons but then regressed to a terrible shot selection again last season. Instead of trying to get rid of him Stevens should have just grew a pair and limited his attempts. He’s fine when he limits his attempts and becomes more of a pass first player on offense, problem is he believes he’s a great shooter….

Always thought smart was a bit overrated. The guy is just too inconsistent offensively. As a backup getting paid 12-13 mill though he is solid and not a problem with the celts at all. I would 100% take smart on my team with what he's getting paid.

Edit; yea Schroeder seems about right.

 First team defense two of last three seasons, twelfth among pg in rpm during that time. He’s def no all star but calling him trash just tells me there’s a agenda……

He is great at all times on defense, but for sure he is a question mark on offense, sometimes can and other cant shoot, isnt a lead guard and the Celtics tried to use like one. He is a very goot starter, if he could get a good starting (real) PG I would do the trade. Maybe he is enough for a S&T for Lonzo ? Devonte Graham if they receive draft compensation maybe ? Would Toronto consider receiving him for Lowry ?

If NO brought on Smart for Lonzo, I would demand a trade if I was Zion because that would tell me once and for all that the front office there has absolutely no idea what they are doing.

If theres one FO that could make exactly this is NO   jokes apart, if last season is Lonzo new normal, great passing, defense, with 38% shooting from 3 than it would be a downgrade for New Orleans

Smart will prob command 5-10 mill less than Ball, if NO moves on from him and wanted Smart they would be adding elsewhere also. It’s also a whole different story putting up good numbers on a lottery team, I wonder what Ball will look like on a contending team once he gets his payday.

Says a lot about Brad Stevens and why he ran away from coaching.

I feel like reporters are just making stuff up nowadays to get highly viewed tweets and expand their following. Every day now we are hearing countless 'rumors' that aren't adding up to anything. Maybe mannix has someone from the staff that was recently disbanded whispering into his ear but I doubt it.

Chris Mannix is absolutely clueless.
One day Marcus Smart will be defensive player of the year, mark my words.
