Technically I think Toronto and Miami can bounce around hypothetical deals as long as Miami doesn't talk to Lowry/Lowry's agent. But realistically, we all know those conversations have taken place and the league just doesn't care.

because other owners/gm's arent running around the nba telling everyone about what they're doing like Lasry was last year.

The NBA's tampering "rules" are a big farce.

Which is why I don't trust their "we are going to stop letting offensive players initiate contact for the foul" talk.

I think it will hurt lesser players and smaller markets while players such as Harden, CP3, Booker, Lebron, and Trae still get away with it.

I know it’s just rumors at this point but it sucks seeing the heat, nets, lakers all favored to snatch up the good ring chasing cheaper guys. The bucks have actually done pretty good in that department the last couple seasons. Maybe we’ll get a few guys as the season goes on.

There aren't enough roster spots on the Nets and Lakers for every "veteran ring chaser" that's been connected to them the past 48 hours. There's gonna be plenty of those types available for us.

Their frontcourt is gonna be huge. Does this mean they might try Mobley at the 4? He's another good rim protector and could stretch the defense.

I think that's always been the assumption that Mobley will at least start out as a 4 until he bulks up more.

I'm not worried about the Bucks signing some guys. I'm worried about them signing the wrong guys.

True but it’s only a few good ones, those guys getting who they want vs us getting who’s left is a big deal imo. No need to panic but something to watch.

Eh, there's like 100+ decent free agents this year and like 7 teams that have cap space. There's going to be guys available for the minimum and or the TMLE.

This. Every year we go through this. Last year the Lakers were gonna be a dynasty after signing all the good ring-chasing vets like Wes Matthews, Gasol, Dennis Schroder, Harrell, etc. Meanwhile, washed up guys and busts like Nic Batum, Reggie Jackson, Cam Payne, Reggie Bullock, Alec Burks etc. slipped through the cracks and signed minimum/1-year contracts while being important rotation guys on playoff teams. Unlike your stars or starters, finding the right role-players is much more about fit than it is about talent.

Differs in that they aren't small markets.

A text from Giannis to any player they want at or below the TPMLE should seal the deal. Even if the media already linked them to one of the glam teams.
