Cap going up, teams spending everything because current contracts will look better as time goes on

Yikes. CP3 will age well though.. i mean he's hardly relying on athleticism. he'll be effective well into this contract, just not 40 million annual worth due to his natural fragility

I don't love the fit but in pure talent - he's the best we can get with our limited resources. By far the best.

Talent gap is big enough to override the fit issues.

DeRozen for MLE = win.

We need 1 more legit scorer.

Wade must be shaking his fist at the clouds somewhere

I do not mean to pick on you specifically Hallstar, my post is directed toward the "Wade was ripped off" narrative. I'm just using your post to talk about it, don't take it personal.

But Wade's a giant crybaby and he has become so unlikeable I don't even talk about him anymore. The good Christian son that bought his momma a Church with his first big money paychecks, is long gone.

The Heat paid Wade market value all the damn time.

- He got his normal rookie contract

- Then when his rookie deal was up, he got the exact same contract Lebron got

- Then 2010 came around, and he once again was given the MAX

- However Lebron, Wade, Bosh, took a little less so they could play together. Then Wade wanted Haslem, so he took like 2 mil less on top of that if I remember.

That's it. That's all that happened. By the time 2014 came around, Wade was still under contract, but his knees were totally shot, and he was unreliable missing games and could not even play well in some critical playoff games due to knee injuries.

So Wade could have kept his 2014 contract, but he decided to opt-out, then got cucked by Lebron as he watched Lebron leave him and go to CLE.

Now, Wade, with broken knees and unreliable recent history, decides to muscle Riley for max money again? Putting up disrespectful social media posts and ****? When even his own "brother" Lebron left him because he thought he was washed up? After all Riley and Wade been through, Wade sides with Lebron and straight up calls pat names.

Sorry man.

But I put up a Alonzo Mourning statue before I put a Wade one up. This is Dade County again. Wade can go F off in chicago.

Doug McDermott got $14 per from Spurs so I assume someone would’ve thrown at least $18 at Duncan

Mitchell, that's an interesting "cheap" player currently that could be available.

So what’s happening with dipo? A Lowry, dipo, butler, bam line up would be nice on offence and defence

If Duncan's getting 5yrs 90mil with 8% raises doesn't that mean his starting salary is somewhere close to $15mil. That's good value for Duncan I think.

So now that all the big pieces have fallen for teams were back slow news again. Probably won't hear of anymore worthy news until late tonight or tomorrow.

I'm sure you already know this, but Duncan's value goes beyond his 13ppg. He is the only reason why Butler and Bam had any room to breath on the court.

I for one don't mind the Duncan signing, I guess he might have been priced out of our range if we had waited. Hearing about McDermott getting $14m I guess 18 isn't too unreasonable.

Sad to see Dragic go. Not as invested in Precious, but would be sad to see Dragic in another uniform next season.

he needs to get stronger to get through a szn. teams tend to (try to) rough him up. it's all about conditioning and strengths

can we get Ray Allen as an assistant?
