The team has aged in dog years.

Having 2013 vibes with the names and ages on the roster.

I would think the Sixers would outbid the TMLE tho. They cant really afford to lose Green (or any shooting) atm. Thybulle/Simmons as starting wings would be terrifying from a Sixers fan perspective.

From that team

Caruso gone
Kcp gone
Kuz gone
Kieff prolly gone

Rondo prolly isnt coming back. I doubt Danny would want to and Philly has to keep him or theyre boned.

So by bringing back the 20 team they mean Bron, Ad and Dwight?  Or Tht who barely played

Caruso, Rondo and Kcp were prolly the 3 most important players on the team after Bron/Ad too....... this report makes no sense

That's 3 of the first 7 names in their finals rotation gone. Sadly I thought the writing was on the wall for Caruso once I heard the Westbrook trade. Somewhere else in the backcourt rotation was now going to be sacrificed to bring in shooting. Too bad because these are legit 2 way players they're losing. Amazing team defenders as well

Pretty funny to see how Pelinka screwed up the roster after the bubble.

Ellington shot 49.5% on pull up 3's last season at 2 attempts per game. That's surprising lol

Pelinka is a trashhhhh GM. His moves are terrible. The best things that have happened regarding roster construction are things he had little to do with - LeBron wanting to live in LA and AD wanting to play with LeBron. This team isn’t doing anything of significance next year.

Terrible. Unless Westbrook has a transcendent year (won’t happen), they’ve just gutted their team AND didn’t get any better shooting and got worse on defense.

While I do think that Pelinka blows, I don't think it's his decisions. Westbrook trade was forced by Lebron and AD, Caruso's departure dictated by tax concerns. If the owner doesn't wanna pay, nothing you can do about it

I’m starting to question Lebrons b-ball IQ

Or this is AD’s fault and Bron wants to keep him happy

Wouldn’t doubt this as AD is pretty low IQ for a star

Still can’t pass out of double teams

U tell me what’s better.

Caruso, KCP, Hield and a cheap 1st rounder or Westbrick

Russ better be playing good D this **** year

No excuses

His offensive load will be at its lowest since the OKC trio or lowest ever

Yes, have to call it like it is and hold Lebron accountable for the Westbrook trade. Has to realise scoring on crammed paints and covering for awful perimeter defense every night is even more taxing. I do like how they're filling out the roster so far, that is, until the inevitable Melo signing undoes all the good work.

Roster wasn't even that good going into the bubble. They likely only won because Bron and AD had 5 months of midseason rest. Pelinka isn't necessarily to blame for that season's roster construction because of the Kawhi sweepstakes but imagine how much better the team could have been if they got the 2019 offseason right-- simply retaining Lopez instead of replacing him with Mcgee would have made them so much better.

I said earlier that losing Caruso hurts and I stand by that, but man some of the reactions in here are puzzling. His defense will be missed but it can be replaced (unlikely but possible). Offensively, he was a liability in the playoffs. Shot 28% from three during the title run and 29% against the Suns, while providing no playmaking/creation.

I get the defense and little things he did, but the sky isn't falling over Caruso. I like the 3 signings so far today and there's still plenty of capable players to be had.

Ironically, the only decent job he did was after Kawhi catfished him and he had no choice but to take who he could get or who was happy to take a backup plan offer

Simple math - Caruso can be in your playoff rotation against any team, those 3 dudes can't. Maybe Ariza for 15 minutes. And I'm not even talking about asset managment

I don't see why they can't be in the rotation. Vogel proved he can put together a top defense with just about anyone in the lineup, so I don't see why that isn't possible with Ellington in there. Dwight had a playoff role for them during their title run, and was a key bench player for the Sixers last year. I'm not sure what Ariza has left in the tank, but all these guys are for the minimum.
