Good contract, but trading their own lotto protected pick seems really steep

I mean...it's good value, but why? You've got Wood already and just drafted Sengun/Garuba.
Get another good vet. And now if both rookie perform you can trade away wood at the trade deadline.

Malik Monk could be a good value signing for us.

Is the upside large enough to take minutes from Mann, theo, and Giddey?
“If you're getting stops and you're making threes and the other team's not scoring, that's when you're going to see a huge point difference there,” coach Billy Donovan said.

Maybe?...I probably prefer making a move like this more than taking a veteran on a bad contract bad for an assets then giving him minutes to rehab is value. We are in a weird spot right now.

I’m not into rehabbing anyone else value . Take 1-2 years contract . Give them some minutes . Hope they can mentor our youngsters . If at trade deadline someone offer something good for them(2nd) and they want a move , trade them .
Just want the rookies to play the right way and the vets to be mentors .

His role there is like a smaller Roberson.

Spurs using their space on Collins, McDermott, and Lauri sure is a choice. Don't see how they're anything other than a late lottery team for the next few seasons.

I think at this point Popovich is a hinderance that keeps them from bottoming out. He’s still a good coach but you can only go so far with Derrick White and Keldon Johnson type guys.
